LOOKING FOR MY WIFE CLAIMS TO BE FROM THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE - STAYED ON LINE TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON - NO ONE CAME TO THE PHONE ON THEIR END - I HUNG UP AND LOOKED FOR THIS NUMBER ON THE INTERNET.

Caller states they are Iowa Department of Revenue and ask for owner of phone by name. When stated that they are speaking to the person then ask for the address. they hang up when you do not immediately give it.

I got a phone call once from a man saying he was with the IRS. He was. They probably sent letters first, but when he called he told me he was going to have my husband and me thrown in jail. I LAUGHED. I told him he could go ahead and arrest my husband, but he couldn't get me for anything because I didn't have an income so I didn't have to make a report. It doesn't matter now, it has been resolved.
HOWEVER IF SOMEONE CALLS YOU CLAIMING TO BE WITH A GOVERNMENT AGENCY ASK THEM FOR A NUMBER YOU CAN CALL THEM BACK ON. YOU are right about one thing. DO NOT ASSUME THEY ARE TELLING THE TRUTH. MOST LIKELY IT'S SOME SCAM. ASK FOR A NUMBER, ADDRESS OR FILE NUMBER AND CALL AN IRS NUMBER FROM THE DIRECTORY AND ASK ABOUT THE OTHER NUMBER, THE PHONE CALL.

Getting a fraud call from this number and from 7125607649 leaving a message, garbles the name and say they are the IRS and to call them immediately about my taxes. IRS do not call you, they send a letter. FRAUD I will not call them back

Does anyone know who this is? I used to live up by Sioux City and I am worried that someone is trying to get ahold of me for some reason or another...
