Sounds shilly to me.  Never a good idea to allow anyone who cold-calls you to come out to your residence.  Much less come inside and look around.   A good rule-of-thumb is simply hang up on cold-call home repair calls.

I received a call from this number and they said they were unique builders and wanted to know if I wanted a free estimate on home Remodeling.  I let them come to my home and everything seem to be on the up and up.  I then checked with the BBB and saw they have an A+ rating.  My kitchen was finished within 2 weeks and is fabulous

I received a call from that number today - didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  I called back and a woman answered she knew my last name and she said she was with Unique Builders and said they are located at 5320 Gulfton, Houston tx 77081 and she told me that she is at a CALL CENTER making calls for them to ask if I want remodeling done on my call.  She gave me the website   www.uniquebuilderstexas.com.    I looked at the website and theta is there address and she also gave me the real number of the business.   I asked how she got my name and number and she said if from a "software program" but she had no other information.  I do not have a listed phone number.   I did call 713-263-8138 - the number listed on the website for Unique Builders and they have a message machine - so I did not leave a message.  STILL quite sketchy and if UNIQUE BUILDERS is so big and can waste that much money having someone make random calls from a call center then they should be able to have someone man their phones.    NEXT BBB

I received a call from 713-234-5283.  The caller ID was "Unavailable" but the person identified themselves as "Patricia" calling for "Unique Builders," which after some research I learned is apparently a remodeling company located at 5300 N. Braeswood in Houston, TX.  The number calling me is a cell phone in nearby Sugarland, TX, but someone at the Unique Builders office (713-263-8138) acknowledged that they have a person making such calls on their behalf.  Still not anything I would feel comfortable responding to.

The above number called and did not leave a message.  The other reports point that this number is trouble.

They called again this week. They hung up before the answering machine could pick up. Because it appeared to be a local number we answered last week. They wanted to work on house. We hung up on them. Obviously a scam. Google search of the numbers shows "Anytime Locksmith" with an address of 1025 Alabama, Houston, TX. There is a Shamrock station at the 1025 Alabama address and not a locksmith.

Called today. I didn't answer because I receive so many calls from telemarketers and solicitors. I finally programmed my answering machine to say that I do not accept these calls. They usually just hang up. If I do mistakeningly answer, I simply hang up the phone when they start making offers. No yes, no, or even maybe. Just hang up. They eventually will get the message. There need to be a law against these types of calls. The older I get, the more frequent these calls become. These calls need their own app for landlines as well as cells. Someone could make millions!

This is a call center for the bogus "Anytime Locksmith" scam.  How this works. They create a bunch of fake entries on advertising websites which make them appear as if they have a local physical address. What they really do is dispatch a former felon to break into your car/house/business who then charges you a $250-500. If they destroy the lock, car window, or door, you have no recourse because you don't actually know where who they are or where they are from. This scam has been uncovered for a while now...google the number and fake business name for more info.
