This is one of those call forwarding scams. Somebody calls you and asks to type in a code like *72 or something like that. After that all of your phone calls are being forwarded to this Martinez character. Thats why your phone only rings once. People from jail are calling people all over the world and charging it to your phone. You need to type in the "cancel" code to get your phone back to normal (*73) and then hang up.

i picked up the phone and it told me i had a collect call from the harris county jail. i accepted and some guy said he was a sheriff but y would a sheriff call collect??? he said that i had to call this number that started with an astrik(*) n ask for rosie martinez and if i did not know the inmate i would not get billed for the call. so i did and some old guy answered n i asked for rosie martinez and he just went crazy and told me to find someone else to talk to.ever since that call my phone had been ringing not stop but it would only ring once and hang up wats up with that???
