I got a call from these people today. I didnt answer. Got voicemail saying I was listed as emergency contact. They then called my husband who called me because they advised I was being brought up on federal fraud charges. We called them back. Was told BMG was trying to get restitution for monies owed and the statue of limitations was almost up so they were being forceful about it and I was risking being arrested. They also told me that. That the statue of limitations was about to run out so they were being forceful to obtain restitution. I did a cash advance long long long ago but to my recollection before switching banks (and they knew name of my old bank) I paid it off!!!! And I would think my bank would've come back on me if an agency was trying to collect money on a closed account! This call was eery. They confirmed my po box and the last 4 of my social. They asked me to confirm my work place and when I would not I was told fine they would proceed and I could thank my husband (who told me not to answer any more questions) later and they hung up.
