This number calls, no one is there

This no called every day but when I picked up the phone , the other party hung up!!!!!!!!!Bastards!

Caller ID says Call Center, TX.

Doesn't ring long enough for even the answering machine to pick up.

I too do not owe anybody any money and am not interested in giving anything either.

Got a call the other night from 713-267-9730. The person asked for Mrs. "so and so," a name I have not used in about 10 years. (I said, "No one here by that name.") Makes sense that this would be a charity, as previous writer noted. Have not had another call.

Possibly an automated fax finder. Have you ever got those junk fax's? The call listens for the fax tone and then logs it. Pick up the phone and leave it as silence untill they hang up. dont hang up right away or they will keep calling untill the idiot brain can determine voice or fax...POssibly...only a thought because I got this at 8am this morning

They call almost every day...when machine picks up, they hang up.

Have had several calls from them. They appear to be Texas Paralyzed Veterans. They are very small with annual donations (2007) of less than $1.2 M. They do not appear to be a 501(C)(3) charity (registered Nonprofit). Answer at your own risk.

Call came from the Texas Paralyzed Veterans.  They come by and pick up donations.

They obviously have a large bank of numbers, as my call came from 713-267-9986.  Would appear to be coming from Downtown Houston, sure they just rented office space have people sitting there waiting for you to answer your phone.  If it is a so called charity, not a violation of no-call, but wish it was.  I just tell such people to take a hike and hang up.  Computer will generally keep calling till someboy answers on your end.

First time seeing this number.  Didn't leave a voice mail or anything.

Calls 2-3 times a day.  I don't answer it because I won't answer calls from places/numbers I don't know.  Violation of "do not call list"?

First call received today (01/28/09).  Another inquiry online for caller id SBT VPD states that it is a charitable org seeking clothing donation.  No message left on answering machine either.  Tiresome.

This number called several times.  The caller id says "call center"
I owe nobody money.  No loan.  Where they get my number.  It suppose to be unlisted.

Same crap,two calls in two days must be a telemarketer,never leaves a message. I can "not answer" longer than they can call........

same here folks.  I keep my ringer turned off as I only use my phone for outgoing business calls.  no idea who it is.

Calls about daily.  No message left.  Probably sales call.

Same here...I didn't answer, left no message. We're on the "No Call" list and don't owe any $$.

It is a voice activated system from a company that either wants to sell you something Or some type of a collection company. I get these call from "your Credit Card" offering to lower my interest on "Your Credit Card" if you ask what card they do not know. In conclusion  it is some one calling you because they have obtained you information from public records and once they get you on the phone they will try to do some type of selling. Part of the initials listed mean Voice Activated. It is a Computer program you are talking to. At least that is what I have been able to find out. I am also listed on the do not call and I do not know how they get around it legally. Unless it is under the clause in the "Not Call" bill that says if you are their customer they can contact.

wasting my time looking at called is SBT VPD.  What is that?  VERY ANNOYING!

Been calling off and on for two weeks. Annoying. I am on both federal and state do not call lists so this is either a donation,politicial or just an illegal caller - none of them is wanted so I blocked the sucker - permanetly.

Called this evening...no answer.
