Just got the same Mrs. Brandy.  Should have checked here before responding.  Told them item just sold :)  What a hassle

Went by the name of Mrs. Brandy.  Said (s)he wanted to buy an item on craigslist and asked for my name/address so she could send $30 cashier's check to secure the item.  Found this info online and never forwarded info to him/her.

As soon as I read the email it was pretty apparent this was a scam. So, he's still at it. If you are selling on Craigs List, make sure it is cash only! How is it these scammers haven't been arrested yet?

Yes, I too received a message from "Chris" asking to buy my mountain bike from Craigslist. Offered $30 more than what I asked for and wished to use cashiers checks. He asked for name and mailing address. Don't trust this number!  Thank you Google!

Well same guy here, named Chris.  As soon as I receive the text, I suspected.  So I google it, then here we are.  Damm these people.

He just texted me using the name Chris.  Sent email back that I had googled his number and what "they" were saying about him.  I will report him.

Same guy wanted to buy a tire listed on Craigslist, tried to say he was sending "movers" as he was a busy vet.....713-487-7559 scamer

Received a text message stating the person name was Chris on May 20, 2013. He sent the text at 4:37pm and stated good morning to me which flag as well as the out of state area code. I recommend not to text these individuals back and if you do get go into more detail and possibly receive an email you can trace were it was sent from on multiple website.

May 20 th and he is still at it, hopefully people will learn to google

RICHARD. IS MAN. WHO CONTACTED. ME. THE # when I called. Him said its google #. He said to take Down my add and he will mail $$. I stopped. Hearing from him when I asked. For his address And information. For transfer he disappears. But he has my info. Grrrrr

He just tested me using the name "Richard".  Didn't text him back after seeing the format fo the text.  I could tell it wasn't real.  Glad I found the info above to confirm my suspicion.

this person is just pure evil.  I brought everything to the FBI.  I pray they get him.  He's gotten  a smoother in his approach.  I was shocked to receive a check way more than my asking price.  then I get a text that asks me to moneygram the differnce to his movers. I went straight to the issuing bank and they told me the check was bad. the person whose name was on the check had had identity theft.  the mailing envelope in which it came was from a company that had closed.  And then the tracking number of the PO showed it actually came from another state etc.  I get a text from him that says the check had cleared his bank!  I text-ed him back like REALLY????  there is a special place in hell for scammers

He's still at it. Wants to mail me a check with $30. extra dollars, and movers will pickup up my washer and dryer. He says he's a Vet working on a Ranch.  Loser!

This guy went by the name Frank and said he was a vet that was out of town on a job. He was wanting to buy our dog. Trying  to get our address to send a "cashiers check" to instead of a p.o. Box. Saying he was going to send more money for us to give to movers when they pick up dog. Dont gibe out your info!! Hes a SCUM BAG!!!

Yeah, POS....anytime you post a new listing on craigslist, these a***oles try and screw you over.  Anyone selling anything on craigslist or whatever...do not mail anything to people that try and give you more money than you are asking.  These s****eads are very heavy on the net nowadays.
