Got the same call from this number. My caller ID shows this to be a cellular number. The guy sounded like Indian. He insisted to get information from my credit cards. When I asked him to leave me alone he started making fun of me. This is the 5th time American Financial is calling for the same thing.

"Sam" from "American Financial" also called me.  I tried to get specific info about his company but got a bunch of false info.  He got tired of me trying to pump him for info (I was trying to really i.d. who he was working for) and he hung up on me.  It was fun making him mad.

I did get "Sam" to give me the number 1-877-929-8000 as a callback number so I called it and was forwarded to an answering service who plays dumb.  It irritates the lady who answers the phone so I think I'll call it some more to make these people even more angry.  If you feel like making them mad too, call 1-877-929-8000 and ask for "Sam" at "American Financial!"

"Sam" (ha!) from "American Financial" (ha! again)- really some jerk from India or Pakistan, where they use fake caller ID numbers to continue this "we'll lower your credit card debt" scam!  Unfortunately there is NO way to identify where these calls are originating (I have spoken to AT & T) other than the country of origin, which is always India or Pakistan.

Blow a whistle in the rep's ear or scream at them- they have a brain & shouldn't participate in these scams!

FTC can't do much until someone cares enough to figure out HOW to ID the callers.

guys I have same problem.  there is a number where you can call and report this scam.
#877-382-4357. Federal trade commision . This guy is keep calling me since March.

Got a call just a second ago from the same number as above 1-713-540-4360 asking for my wife, told the guy she was at work. he then asked me if i was a family member i told him i was her husband. he told me he wanted to help us with our credit card problem. i told him he had to talk her. he never did state the company he was with nor who he was. he kept asking me if we had credit problems, i told him it was none of his damn buisness. i then hung up on him. i called the number back and guess what,,, you guest it, it was out of service...... damn people, damn scammers, get a life and a real job like we do.

These guys continue to call me about my credit card debt.  As Al has tried, the number was not a working number when I tried returning the call.  I have tried being nice but they don't get the message, so I am now becoming aggravated to the point of mocking them and being very mean.   They don't care.

I tried to call back the number as it appeared on my caller ID and it said it was not a working number next time I will ask for a number to call them back at.

received a call after I told  Anthony from India that I thought he was a scam and do not call me again I hung up  he called back and said that he was going to come to my place and put a bullet in my head. I told him again that I thought he was a scam artist and do not call me back I hung up. He called me back wanted to know why I called him a scam artist I asked him why he wanted to put a bullet in my head I told them on a scam artist would call and say he wanted to put a bullet in my head I asked him how soon he could get here and said bring it on Ilook forward to meeting you.
