This # call my cell 3 and 4 times a day. I blocked the # now he is blocking the # so it comes up unavail. or Private. middle east accent. no one comes on at first then he starts talking have asked nuymerous time to stop calling

I have received several calls from 713-623-6598 in the last few days. There is no way to make them stop. PLEASE register a complaint if this is happening to you! I am going to block this number (as well as a flood of others in the last few days for 3 other #'s) with my phone carrier CenturyLink tonight. That number has been calling my house for 3 days now and asking for me. My husband told them to take us off the call list. They called the very next day. They called today and hung up when he answered. I called the number below only to keep getting a busy signal. Scam?

I have been constantley getting phone calls from this number and if I recieve one more phone call from this number I will be contacting by attorney.

Repeated calls from this number ID'ing itself as "Consulate Gnrl." Right! In Houston, TX? Gimme a break. But since we routinely screen incoming phone calls and do not answer calls from entities we don't recognize, we did not get into the entertaining dialogues other reporters have had with these folks. There WAS the very beginning of a message left a couple of days ago, very clearly from a boiler room calling facility - lots of noise and calls going on in the background before that particular caller hung up. Wish my phone had the capability of blocking a particular number. We did report it on some federal reporting site we found, but I doubt that will go anywhere. I'm reporting this as "Telemarketer" as that's what I believe this to be.

Received a number of calls from 713-623-6598 the Consul General.  Probably phishing for Medicaid info.  Reported it to Texas AG's Office of Consumers Affairs since it is a 713 number.  Will also call 888-382-1222 the Feds.

Got a phone call from Consulate GNRl 2/3/14 4:30 pm but I hung up on him. Sounded like he was calline from a call center overseas. Sounded like an  African accent. I hung up on him.
Got another call last night 2/3/14 6:43 pm from the same number 713-623-6598 but it did not ID it as "consulate GNRL" did not answer it went on voice mail. He held on to the line till the machine cut him off.
I wish it would stop. Will not p/u the phone again if he calls.

Received numerous  calls from 713-623-6598 over the past several days.  They call sometimes five times a day but do not leave messages.  Number is identified on my caller ID as Consulate Gnrl.  After reading the posts about others who have received these calls and spoken to the caller I'm glad I don't answer even when I am home.  Creepy!

I've received a high volume of calls from this number.  Caller ID always shows "Consulate Gnrl".   After ignoring many calls, curiosity got the better of me and I answered.  A male voice with heavy Indian/Pakistani accent called me BY NAME and asked if I've had any surgery in the past year.  Apparently he's accustomed to people discussing their private medical history with complete strangers who call them on the phone!  He said this was the "United States Medical Department" calling from Houston and that I'm eligible for free compensation for surgery.  I know ObamaCare has created a lot of bureaucracy, but I haven't yet heard about the creation of a "US Medical Department."  Our conversation was entertaining (for me, anyway) and laughably ridiculous as he tried to spin his tale and answer my equally ridiculous questions.  It ended when I casually mentioned that we record all of our incoming calls -- at which point he kept saying, "That's alright...that's alright" and he hung up.  I was hopeful that would deter them, but in the time it has taken me to jot this message, I have received yet another call from the Consulate Gnrl.  What will it take to stop them?

Getting daily calls from this number.  I only answered it the first time and told him I wasn't interested after he said it pertained an insurance settlement or something like that....scam for sure.  I hope people don't fall into it!!

I am constantly getting calls from this number: 713-623-6598.  I have told the person on the other end to take my name and number off their list, but they still call.  Is there a way I can stop their calls?  Please advise.

Keep getting calls from this number but when I answer the party never speaks. The back round noise sounds like a "hand ball" game or "ping pong" game is underway. After a few moments of listening to what sounds like a "ping pong" game going on the caller hangs up. If it sounds like a scam,looks like a scam,smells like a scam....it probably is a scam. It seems since I recently retired the scammer calls have intensified. Another low life scammer at work.

Calls regularly. Just dead air or man with heavy accent. Asking me about my hospital debts.

they call constantly and do not say anything or leave a message say its  CONSULATE GENERAL. STOP CALLING HERE I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST. UGH!  

Got a call on Thursaday. It began with extremely loud Bollywood music. I mean, REALLY loud. After the first round of questions I couldn't stop laughing because the whole situation was so preposterous. Two calls since then. I just let the machine get them. No messages.

This number came up on my phone today. They never leave a message but I assume that it's the same stuff I have been plagued with for some weeks now, from other numbers, which have all been covered in these boards. They really have a preoccupation with asking about medical issues having to do with a certain area of the body. Creepy.

Call from this number (Consulate General).  I assumed it was from India (as most of these scammers are).  I didn't answer.  I always look the number up on 800 Notes before I even consider picking up the phone, as I am almost CERTAIN they are from India.  I'm sick of these b*****ds.  I get calls from them constantly with one scheme after another.  Kiss my a**, India!

They called last week at 7:00 and this morning and 6:45 am. I told them it was illegal for them to solicit me before 8am, I asked for his name and phone number and what business he was with. He told me he worked for the US DEPT of Health, to which I told him he was lying because no government business in the US begins work before 9am nor calls people at home regarding surgeries. I told him I was reporting him. Afte reading all these posts, I need to block the number.

I like your "full blocking mode" description!  Me, too!!  My call blocker has been one of my best investments.

Called an hour ago, it said "Consulate" which is obviously a scam name.  I'm in full blocking mode all day every day now.

They call my work phone from this number EVERY single day.  Once I told them I am not interested in their lawsuit, and the Indian accent man literally yelled at me.  Told me it was my obligation to talk to their attorney.  I told him I have never had any of the issues he described, he told he "Yes you do, Ma'am, listen to me" he screamed.

Since then there have been many different people call from the same number.  Each asking the same serious of questions, Bladder Sling? Yaz Birth Control Pills? Various Cancers?

No matter how many times you tell them to remove your number from thier list, they still call back the very next day.

These guys are busy today obviously. Again, Indian male who said his name was "Jack Wilson" (yeah, okay)...unintelligible but ditto most of the above.  Caller ID said "GEORGIA".  This was one of several today with different area codes.

I recieved a call gentleman said his name was hamir wanted medical information claimed he needed my information for jbt law firm because they would represent me at court. Once I refused to gI've any information out he started verbally harrassing me saying he was going ti cone and f*** me he kept repeating it and repeating it. I hung up the conversation. Tried calling back did some research contacted jbt law firm they state they have absolutely no association with this individual and that they would attempt to take care of it begin they don't want someonr to represent them as if it was them

just recieved a call, hung up before I could answer. called back line was busy.

Got a call yesterday and today from same guy, "Steve". Today I asked him for HIS phone number. He hung up. Yesterday he asked me if I have taken birth control in the past.

SMH, waiting for him to call again. Will be getting the fax machine from now on.
