Been getting calls regarding a payday loan which I never had!!!( this has been going on for six years ) They used to be from California. I could tell by the phone number area code . Than I started to receive e-mails from a Law firm from Calif. ACS Group telling me I am being arrested and going to jail if I don't  pay $986.73 by a said date using a online payment service. They always sounded like they were from India . At times I would call the number they provided but when I asked questions about the loan, they would ask if I intended to make arrangements, when I would respond no, they would hang up!!! Now I get this call from 8607240641 but he speaks English and asks if I have been served at work or home with Legal Documents !! So I asked what this was about? He starts in about this payday loan !!  But he know my last four SS#s ?? So I hung up!!! I really don't know who they are !!! But I am sick of this scam!!!!  

We keep getting phone calls from this # (860 724 0647 - TAKE A MESSAGE) between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM. Last night they called twice around 3:00 AM. First time they hung up after 1 ring. They called again after 1 minute, answered the phone and no answer at the other end, they did not hang up either. This is really annoying, waking you up in the middle of the night and getting us all wound up when no answer.

They are bunch of crooks that operate all over the country (Colorado,
Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, etc.) with different names, e.g.,

I thought privacy manager was supposed to offer you two choices, one to accept the call, the other to reject it.  on this call the only option was to accept the call. I hung up and the number appeared again, but this time it said "take a message" no one was there.  this must be a different kind of scam using privacy manager.

Received 3 calls from 860-724-0641 over the past two months.  Each time the male caller said b#*ch into my answering machine.  When I call back no one answers.  I intend to file a formal complaint of harassment with the AG's office

I had this call but when you pess 1 it mentioned my doctores office and I needed to talk to them so I hit 1 to accept the call.  Privacy manager is a service and not all calls are rubbish, if you don't want to talk to them don't accept the call.

hey, a call came through from 860 724 0641.  I am on a do not call list. I don't want these calls. How do I stop them? when i call back there is no voicemail and no answer. It rang like 20 times. These people, whoever they are need to go away.

Just received a call from this number, saying they were a "Senior Medical Advisory".
Pre-recorded voice (older man) talking about how "significant medical injuries" can drain a senior citizen's "personal life savings", so you should sign up to get a medical alert bracelet. The voice also said that the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society highly recommend this bracelet.

I've got the feeling that responding to the phone call to hand over personal information for the non-existent life bracelet would result in what they called a loss of personal life savings.

I have received numerous calls from this number.  Today I decided to anser it.  I got a message to press '1' to find out who was calling.  When I did I got a recorded  message from a painting and siding company.  I hung up.  In reading these posts it appears that whoever this is, they are claiming to be a variety of businesses

I believe this number shows up when people block their number. It is a service.

That is why so many calls to so many different people.....and places.....using same phone number......should be a law against it....

You are the only one that knows what the privacy manager is used for.If I could have it my way,I would have all my calls come via privacy manager.

This idiot calls at 12:14 am.  Thank God for Privacy manager.  I couldn't even find the #1 button on my phone in the dark so the call got disconnected.  Dumb a** needs to look at a clock!

I got a bunch of calls,  someone on the other line said they spoke to us before for or that we called them.

this guy keeps calling and asking us why we called him, he is from Kamais Development, but they dont have a public number, and the local authorities said that this is a cell phone.  what kind of company operates off a cell phone?

now we get calls weekly, its something we expect, by 2 guys  Jim and then a private number same story by a guy named Cliff.


seems odd, they wont stope, we used the registry, but still we get harassed.

This is the generic phone number that shows up with the privacy blocker that ATT provides.  It can be a call from anyone who is hiding their phone number, that is why most of the callers are people you don't want to talk to.

something has to be done about these people, I have experienced everything that everyone else has experienced. I get this recording for someone who does not have my number, I think these companies randomly dial numbers to harass people.

I have received several phone calles fro 860-724-0641 Privacy Manager.  Nobody is there when I answer, when I call back it's long distance have to add "1" to the number.  Nobody answers the  phone it just rings and rings is this another ploy by tele-marketers to hide their telephone number??  THIS IS SOOOO ANNOYING!!!

Approximately 6 months ago, I someone on a political website.   Only first names, no phone numbers, etc. However, this individual somehow obtained my home phone number.  Numerous phone calls from him which came up as Privacy Manager, phone number 860-741-6788, calls early evening, late night, 4:00 AM.
What seriously concerns me is that he knows far too much about me. I am a 52 year old widow living alone in my private home -- just relocated one year to a different state and do not want to get involved with the local police.  Pleae, can you help me locate the phone number said person is calling for or at least a name.  I sincrely thank you for whatever help you can offer.

First time I received a call, the message was "press 1 to find out who is calling".  I simply hung up.  The second time (2 days later) I pressed 1 and was connected to the Dean of Business who had seen my resume and invited me for an interview.  I accepted and will meet with him in a few days.  At some point I may ask what service he is using.  But I thought that not to be as important as the interview.

Also these people have contacted my sister who lives in a different town looking for the same person as they do when they call my home. They never give an explaination as to who they are or why they are attempting to contact the said individual. I want people to know that harassment, be it over the phone or otherwise is illegal and whoever this is, is breaking the law. Let us band together and find out who this person/company is and have action taken.

Got a call from this number.  Started to ask numerous questions about my son, were he works, what jobs he has held and other questions.  They said they were from PRIMERICA and he had applied for a loan.  This was a lie as it turns out.  They had our number and his cell phone number.  I suspect they had received his resume through a job search site, perhaps Monster or equivalent.  I also, suspect base on above the perspective employer can then call through the search site and use a privacy manager.
