posting useless requests. We can't do anything about any calls, other than gather information and -- in cases like this -- complain to the politicians who make these calls legal.

Write to those people who made those calls legal. If enough people are vocal enough, and band together to vote against those who make such calls, they might be banned, eventually.

If it's costing them more votes than it gets them, they will shut it down. If you convince one incumbent to stop, but he perceives the challenger as having an advantage by continuing . . . the incumbent will make it illegal.

It's useless to post things like "stop these calls" or any other demand. This board is for people to post useful information like what miker did. Because of him, we know why these calls are coming; and that they'll stop, on a day in November.

It's also useless to post something about how you're bothered, too. We all are.

Who's calling, why they're calling; things like that are useful. And, no, there's not much you can do about this particular kind of call. Surveys and political calls are exempt from Do Not Call lists, etc. Gee. I can't imagine why there's an exemption loophole for those people.

Am not interested in unwanted calls for anyone!!!  Especially political---he just lost a potential vote.

I will vote for any politicial that can stop these annoying calls.

Called the # back and asked to be taken off the list... then promptly filed a complaint at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints as they had no Caller ID informaiton and they are spamming me with their garbage.

Political calls impress me in one way only.  I want NOTHING to do with that canidate.  I do vote every election, every year.

Anyone noticed worthless annoying calls have increased since the "Do Not Call Lists" came into existence.  Mine have. I finally did some internet research and bought a "Digitone Call Blocker" for about a hundred dollars.  So far, it's been worth every penny. Call blocking phones block about 30 #'s and that's way to few for me. Call Blocker blocks up to 80 then you have to erase and start over.  You can also program it to block whole area codes at once "as one number" so you don't use up precious storage space blocking individual numbers. You do have to remember to add back "wanted callers" in blocked area codes.  It comes automatically programmed to block all unavailable, unknown, out of area, anything without numbers.  The only flaws I have found so far are, it doesn't show how many calls you've blocked, it doesn't eliminate the unwanted callers altogether, just hangs up on them and it allows unwanted calls to ring "once" on any phone it's not attached to.  But, if the volume is off on extensions, you'll never know anyone called.  Unless someone knows of, or comes up with a device that has unlimited blocking ability and can eliminate unwanted calls permanently, this is the best thing I've found out there to ease the hassel and frustration of annoying callers.  http://www.digitone.com/

Called land line on 25 Jul 12.  Answered on third ring, no one there.  Logged in my "don't answer" list, then filed FTC complaint.

"HOUSTON TX" called from 713 701 5930 - no message.  has harassed me for a while now (multiple calls).  I will not support or aid in any way idiots who perform like this (ALL politicians).  I would find these contemptible if they were not beneath contempt.  Caller blocked.

I got a call from 713-701-5930 @ 5:32PM tonight with "Unknown Name" caller ID and once at 3:26 PM with caller ID "Name Not Found" and phone number was 117137015930 (an extra "1").  Leaves no message. Please stop calling!

So, why do we bother to register on the do not call list...when it doesn't stop politicans, poll takers, sham charitties...and new to the list....health insurance salesmen claiming only their company can offer coverage for existing...blah blah....that is now the LAW!

I recieved these call every day .  Do not want to be bother by poll takers.
