Got the same message.  I am researching to learn more.  Marshall Rousseau claimed to be a legal courier.  He stated he would serve papers and if he was unable to obtain a signature he would have to report it as unsigned.  He left no contact number only the number for ACP.  Rather odd someone who wants to serve you legal papers will not give you their contact information.  During the last phone call we told Mr. Rousseau to bring the papers to the house and he would be greeted at the front door.  He has stated twice he was coming to the home or place of employment but has yet to show up either time.  My speculation is his company has purchased uncollected income from another party and is now attempting to collect on old debt. We do not believe he has the right person.  If money is owed debts will be satisfied.  We have no idea why Mr. Marshall Rousseau is calling and he seemed evasive about the matter in our only conversation.  We have advised Department of Consumer Affairs and am asking them to monitor this situation.  We plan to ask Mr. Rousseau to please deliver the papers.

They left a message on my phone also same thing as described above.  Is this some type of scam?

its not against the law to contact your employer or serve you at work, but it is illegal to make empty threats.

Some lady just called me from an "unknown" company and didn't know who the "company" was that was serving me papers. I told her I know that this is against the law how they try to get people to pay money and it's against the law to contact a persons place of employment or to show up at their place of employment. She got nasty when I told her I know the FTC laws and how they work.

Same thing happened to me this morning.  Call with an anonymous caller ID - before 8 a.m. - leaving a message for a person I've never heard of.  They left this number - 713-909-7051 - as the callback.  Included a docket # and made it sound like an official notice of service - but it sounded more like a call center in the background and the message was read right off a script.  They even finished the call with "You have been notified..." - like that means anything.

This reeks of a scam.

Called and left message that they would be by my house to serve me. Gave me a case docket number to refer to.

Called saying they had a summons yo come to my house. Over a  complaint against me
