Fake Short Term or Payday Loan Scam

Calls from the following area codes and numbers have all been reported to be scammers.  These scammers use phony number and names to attempt to get potential victims to send in money on fake loans that appear to be from legitimate sources.

The names vary each time.  These fraudsters have committed company identify theft against a Federal Credit Union.

Consumers targeted by the scam typically are looking for a payday or short term loan and search the Internet for assistance.  They voluntarily place their personal information on these independent sites (not recommended) and then receive an email from one of the aliases. They say that you have been approved for a short term loan that is affiliated with companies that the scammer has no association with whatsoever.

Consumers who respond by telephone to the offer are then told that in order to receive the loan, they have to pay for either an upfront fee, taxes owed, processing fee, etc., in the form of a MoneyPak or Pre-paid credit card including Vanilla Network cards.  Do not pay any upfront fees and hang up on them.  

I keep getting calls from a man named Justin Park from VA loans. Saying that I have case against me.

It is a VA Loans, but I do not understand what the man was saying!! So I am not sure it is for real or a Scam!!!

Justin Park called my phone  from 713-936-3424 and said i was approved for a loan of 10,000 but i only applied for an online loan of 3,000. He said to go to wal-greens, CVS, or Rite-aid and purchase a voucher. Deposit 110.00 on the voucher for processing of the application. He then called  back the next morning saying i have a lawsuit against me from Cashnet USA and they've put a block on my loan. That ip have to settle with them and pay 710.00 before they can release my funds. He also said that they're gonna file a lawsuit against me if i don't make my payments of 152.00 on the 15th of every month. Smh. Its people like this that need to be locked up. Playing with people's hard earned money and emotions.

I am getting multiple calls a day from this number - forgien accent - asking me to call loan services - if you do call it is a recording to leave your number and name. I just hung up. The number called me right back. I did not answer.

These scammers have been calling me 20 plus times a day for a year! It's the payday loan scam! They try to say you took a payday loan and you need to pay it back or their going to arrest you. I also got the threat of them "dragging two of your family members with you"message. Then they'll hang up and immediately call back and offer me a payday loan! If you call this number and get the "Michael Johnson" I'm in a meeting b***s*** message, hang up and call back immediately. Do this enough times, and you'll get an answer. Eddie Jones! This a** has been calling and driving me insane for a year! Yesterday, once I figured out how to get an answer, I called Eddie about 60 or 70 times. Just repeating back to him the same crap he always says to me. He didn't much like it being done back to him. He told me he was reporting me to the FBI. Ha!
Eddie also goes by the name Andy. Can't remember the bs last name he gave me. Something clearly not his name.
Anyhoo, today is the first day in I don't know how long, I haven't got a call or a text from them!!!

Left a message and mention that I owed an online loan not pay. He mentioned that he represent Cash Net USA that I call them that they have no record of me what so ever for loan. How can a lawyer firm represent his client that the end user never owe them any money. In additional, all money issues is civil matter not criminal, no police department will have resource to do the arrest job. A scam for sure.

I made a police report on this guy Michael Johnson with this phone number he don't seem too scared of it when I told him for some reason this guy has all my information so security number bank number I don't know where he got it from he said he was for Castnet USA  have any of you had Cash net USA for a loan  maybe there's a leak

I'm getting calls from this number and person named Michael Johnson threatening to take me and my two family members to court...I've never heard of him or anything

Got the same message.  ignored them but they continued to blow up my phone. I finally called them back, asked them for their
FIN and the actual name of the law firm as they only identified themselves as the law office.  I told them that once i comtacted the attorney general's office and they confirmed they were a legitimate company, I'd talk to them about this so-called debt I had with them that would land me in jail along with my family members.   these people are so freaking stupid that they don'[t even know how to make the lie sound real.  he told me that the police would show up to my house and arrest me and my children and then take me to court.  At least familiarize yourself with US laws before coming into our country via magicjack and attempyting to take our hard-earned money from us.   Hopefully, the majority of the folks are smart enough to laugh in their face and hang up.

This person keeps calling and making threats to harm family members. I don't know who he is but i am going to make sure i alert the authorities to stop his harrassing calls.

Called an left half a voice mail about me having a warrent called bk an went straight to voicemail his name is Micheal jonhson I noticed similar comments  

I just got the same phone call. Its a scam and I told him not to call back or I would have him arrested.

Call and left half a voicemail saying that they would take me over the coals if I didn't call them back.

Same guy has called my work and now cell sayin im going to be arrested if i didnt call him back.

This is a company is a scam. please beware!

Who is this

I got a call from a guy by the name of micheal johnson saying that I need to call him back to work out some legal situations for a online loan and if not I would be sent to court and arrested don't no who this guy is and haven`t taken out any loan

Said I needed to call them or I would be arrested.
