I have contacted the AG after they called and it has somewhat stopped on my phone...my man had 21 from one number this morning. the government  needs to do something about these relentless f****

Attorneys typically scour these postings looking for any information that users post in order to file lawsuits for Unfair Debt Collection Practices against these companies that are harassing you, so if you could include more specific information, it would really make a huge difference.

Always ask this one question:

(1) "This is actually my friend's number; can I call you back in a minute from my own phone to make a payment?  What's your number?"

Because these people use a system that masks their real numbers with fake numbers, this question forces them to reveal their real number.  Do not give them your number!  Try to get a callback number so we can trace their actual location. The post the number here.

It's a spoofed call out of Houston, TX; which means that these people are using someone else's number for their scams.

I did a search on SPOKEO and found out that this number is a Spoof Call out of Houston, TX.  Basically it's a telemarketing scam...DO NOT ANSWER THE CALL!!!

what a scam,almost fell for it once 2 years ago,and now as of this week i have got 376 calls from random numbers like this,they have  magic jack lines and they are from India with garbage for accents..then they sold my number to a fake attorneys office in ca..watch out for this number..1-916-500-4945 they state they have a federal warrant for money i owe and i should give them my bank information to pay so i don't get arrested,and if you tell them this is fraud they are very rude and start insulting me and my family,there is not much you can do but change your number and check you credit.they will have your address and the last four numbers of your social security,ask them to give you the full number,they don't have it...BEWARE!!!! don't give them information they don't have they will use it...

I think they are bots cuz they no speak to you when you talk.

I do not answer any call that I do not recognize the number. If its important, they will leave a voice message.  Periodically, I get an onslaught of calls.  This period it started last Friday.  I made the big mistake in trusting an online payday loan lender last year and ever since then, I get these calls.  I am so used to them now but since its been a long time I applied for a payday loan and I still get these calls, I realize they will not stop so I have to consider changing my number.

Got an automated robo call from this number that responds to your replies saying it's from Chris Hale of payday loans.  I then hung up. They have called 3 times a day for the last 3 days. 7:30am noon, and anywhere from 2-4pm.  Each time the number is different. A long string starting with a V sometimes saying out of area sometimes not and sometimes it says out of area in both number and name position.  They need to stop! I'm waiting on a phone call to set up a surgery appt and i don't know what the caller id will say and am hating to even answer the phone period!!

These numbers keep calling me and have done so repeadly over the last two weeks. I have picked up a few to blank or dead air and the rest I have ignored. Even though I am on the do not call list and do not owe money to any of there numbers they call me multiple times a day. These are the only numbers I hae saved for today that have called me 7/25/13 this after noon startig a 11-3pm. I assume I will have more calls from more numbers by the end of the night because I have had a different number pretty much call me every 20 mins starting at 7am til 7pm at night. It is an absolute nightmare to deal with that I have turned off my phone to only turn it on at the end of the night to have 14 messages to sometimes more. Most messages are blank with nothing being said to someone asking for a Brittany.

I assume this is a telemarketer but they call me three times a day. They start at 9 am, 12, and 6pm. I do not owe them money and have never personally contacted them. No matter that I have ignored them for two weeks they have repeatedly called me three times a day. I am on the national do not call list and yet they have recently blew up my phone calling me. This has started in mid-July and still is calling me as of 7/25/13. I am fed-up with these calls and wish them to stop.

I have received literally 23 calls from these types of numbers since 3:30 yesterday afternoon.  23 CALLS!!!!

Told me that my application from a loan was approved, but I never applied for any loan. They still continue to call. I think they got my number from Western Union when I sent someone money. Companies sale you personal info all the time, but require you information in order to do business.

this # is associated with Paydays of America. They are passing themselves off as agents for the FTC claiming the US Gov't took loan funds because you "owe" back taxes. It will cost $285 to get funds released. This is the same voice that answers for the loan company located in Jacksonville. Somehow they get the # to show up from Washington DC. BEWARE OF PAYDAYS OF AMERICA
