I have a friend who needs two airline tickets and called the infamous 713-981-5008 also and the guy seems to be really evasive.

I was looking for cheap flight tix on CL. I emailed this guy inquiring about the tix and this is what he sent. I decided to look his number up and found al  of these comments. I'm gonna pay full price. Forget it.

This number of (713) 981-5008 has an advertisement on Craigslist for cheap airlines tickets.  I responded to it and asked for a Company name just to see if he was legit.  Here is a copy of the e-mail he sent back.    I called the number and got no answer, then I looked up the address that he provided and it is number to the company that rents out office space in the building.  I gave them the unit number that he provided #500, they transferred me to that office and I was told that their was no one there by that name.  I responded to his e-mail and he replied that I am a bad investigator and that he rents out a space from the company that is in that unit.  This is not true, which was again false, because that company stated they do not rent out space within their office.

this person calls and never says anything

It would be nice if they actually left a message, they must be a chicken company.....but I know they are a debt collector behind these calls.

I keep getting calls from this phone number asking for a Melvin Bridgewater and I keep telling them that this is not his number but they still keep calling. I'm sure it is some kind of credit agency.

I receive calls from this number, but as soon as I answer, they hang up. They never leave a message on voice mail.

I keep getting phone calls from this person...asking for someone else...tell them they have the wrong number...they just hang up...and keep calling back...rude people

I have received 6 calls from this number in 3 days... A different voice each time but asking for the same person and address. The ID line says Operations div.

Same thing happens to me... they call every single morning and it's really annoying.  They ask for someone else and I tell them this is not them but they continue to call.  Does anyone know how to make them stop?

These parasites have nothing better to do than to bother and waste everybody's time. I really wish that the FBI would round up these b*****ds and send their a***s to Afghanistan and do something more constructive like fight terrorists.

My dad answered the phone and said that they wanted to talk to me.  I looked quickly at the caller-ID screen, and it showed Operations Div with the phone number 713-981-5008.  I said hello, but no reply.  I said hello a few more times.  Then I heard a click followed by a busy signal.  I am unemployed and going through bankruptcy, so it may have been a creditor who hasn't gotten the news yet.  A little creepy that they just hung up.

My caller ID has shown this number 41 times over a two week period.  The calls come all hours of the day and night and even wake my small children. How do I make it stop?

I called the number there, told them I'd been getting a call from a number that would hang up upon answering. She transferred me to a different department. Next person, I told them the same thing, and the number that had been calling. She used that number to transfer me to one of the reps. The hold time was about 10 minutes, and I suspect that's why the auto-dialer hung up on me; no available agents.

I spoke to the agent, gave her the number that was called, and she told me who they were looking for. I managed to ID him as a previous employee. Told them what I knew, and she noted it. I imagine we wont be getting any more calls now.

But yeah, looks like GC is a company hired as an outsourced call center for a debt collection agency. They're just doing what they were hired to do by their client. You can probably mark this number down as a debt collector.

Seen a few calls coming into the business from here. The name alone gave me pause. Just to satisfy curiosity, I answered it just once. Picked up, and I got that system click, the sound of a computer hanging up. Pretty lousy auto-dialer if ya ask me.

Tried calling back, and it just rang and rang and rang. No pick up, no voicemail, nothing. Not sure who, what, or why, and I'd like to find that out....and then get on their internal do-not-call list.

Just sucks that a phone number registered as a business can't get any protection from the National Do-Not-Call Registry. Oh well...

I get 3-4 calls a day from this number.  When the phone is answered no one is on the line nothing is said.  When the machine answers, again, nothing is said.  When trying to call back, phone rings for 5 minutes and then disconnects.  Caller ID says Operations Division.  I have no business with this 'company' and would appreciate it if the calls would stop.  If they are going to call my house at least have the decency to say what you're calling about.  Stop harassing!!!!

Called early Sat a.m.  When picked up call, the woman asked for Priscilla.  I told her she had the wrong number and asked who she was with......she just hung up.  I tried to call back to make sure I was on the DoNoCall list.  Just rings and rings, no answer. Caller ID noted Operations Division.

When you call to file a complaint, no matter how calm you are, they hang up on you.  I got "this number was removed quite some time ago ma'am", and when I told him that it obviously was not since I'd been getting daily calls, he hung up.  I don't even know the person they're trying to reach!!

Best to just block the number all together.
