United Cash Bureau:  I have gotten several calls with deep mid-eastern accents. Most calls I couldn?t understand and I thought they were from any Muslim country. I was called by one that I was able to understand. He said his name was Geo Grand(sp?) and the phone number given was 714-203-5727.

I needed to cooperate with him because he said my creditors were bringing me to court. He began to ask me several multiple choice questions such as:

Is your mortgage between:

a)    $50,000 to $100,000
b)    $100,000 to $200,000
c)    $200,000 to $$400,000
d)    $400,000 to $1,000.000

I gave him wrong answers because these are the same type of questions you are asked if you want to see your credit report on-line.

I hung up on him and he left two messages on my voice mail until I told him to buzz off!

I have the recorded messages and willing to play them back to anyone concerned. Does anyone have advice on how to get these voice messages on the web?

I got a call yesterday from these guys, it was so low volume I couldn't understand what he was saying. I came on here and realized it was scammers so I called them back this morning and talked to them in a real heavy indian accent. I started yelling at them saying THEY owed me a debt and I was going to come to their country and kill them if they didn't pay me now, the guy was stunned and said he was looking for Sara, I said I was from the FBI and I was on to them. He hung up. I did this to some nigerian scammers 2 months ago and they called me back and we argued for 10 minutes, the guy said he was going to come here and kill me, I advised him of my experience in combat handgun competitions (true) and said it would be my pleasure to blow a hole in his chest, then go after his children to kill the bloodline.....he hung up and never called again. Threaten to kill these people and they will leave you alone.

They just called me twice w/ the thickest accent ever & left me a voicemail. They said it was pertaining to one of my friend's & that it was a legal matter & that I'm involved in it even if I don't want to be. I called them back, cursed them out, & hung up. This is a SCAM!!! They try to scare you & tell u that u will get in trouble legally and yada, yada, yada. I called them on their bluff & told them that the police would be tracking them down. DO NOT give them any information about u...

These people buy and sell lists over and over - claim to be from law firms, all kinds of things.  Always have a very thick accent.  They call our office all the time for our manager.  I told them today I would give her the message but that most of these calls were scams and I would check them out on the internet first and they hung up on me immediately.  About 4 months ago I told one of the callers that if he was going to try to pull scams in the U.S. he should first learn English.  One day I gave them the number for the District Atty and told them his office would love to talk to them.  The calls stopped for about 2 or 3 months but started up again today.  Don't let them shake you up - just have a good time with them!  Turn it back on them and trust me, they will hang up and not call again for awhile until the list is sold again.

A coworker of mine received a phone call from this guy.  She didn't understand a word he was saying.  She seemed very upset and almost began to cry when she was telling me how he yelled at her and that he is going to take legal action and that no one will be able to help her.  He also claimed to be from the Department of Justice. She asked him what she had to do to take care of what he was INSISTING was money owed. He claimed that she could take care of it right then and there if she provided him with her checking account and routing information.  She told him to call her back in 10 minutes because she had to get her information.  So before she did that, she told me what he had said, how he acted, and so forth. I told her not to do it because for one she couldn't remember owing anyone any money and secondly...we are funded through the Department of Justice!!! I told her to forward this information to our contact and let them know that there is some guy using this number claiming to be from the Department of Justice demanding money. That was over 9 months ago! He called ME today claiming to be from the United Business Bureau.

Received a call from a Richard sombody from United Cash someting.  Hard to understand what he said exactly.  Sounded like he was from India.  I've been getting these kinds of call from the same type of people for 2 years now saying that I owe somebody money but wouldn't give out any information about it.  Also wanted me or my attny. to call him back.  He just said that there was a lawsuit filed against me and my SS# and to call him back.  Whatever you do, please do not call them back or give them any information.  This is a scam.  So, please be careful, whatever you do.

I have also been getting calls from this person. He calls my cell and my job and leaves messeges. I cant even understand a word that man says because of his heavy accent. He says his name is mike wilson (yea right) from united something bureau (couldnt understand) and if i or my attorney doesnt return his call he wishes me luck of things to come. Hes starting to freak me out.  He calls like every couple of days...i dont know what to do.....

For the last 3 days I have been receiving calls from some person who can't speak english and I can't understand him.  All I heard was something about freezing my assets.  The first time they called, it was just after 7 am, that I know is illegal and I could nail them on that alone.  The last time he called, he changed the number that I was to call back on.  It's the same person, and he also changes his name, which I can't understand due to him broken english.  I have saved all the messages from this idiot for the past three days, and if I answer my phone,  he starts yelling and it sounds like he in threatening me with some kind of legal action I yelled back to stop harassing me and cease and desisted his calls, but he turns around and call right back.  I have now blocked both numbers that he calls on, but am now getting calls that show, "unavailable" on my cell.  He is ruthless.  I think that his is the same person that called me two years ago and I would hang up and he would call right back.  He had me in tears and threatened prison time, lose of my job, fines over $1,500 and so on.  This has got to stop, I could not even make a call out from my phone that how much he was calling me.

I have been receiving same message from this number, also 512-646-0907, 408-663-9181, 404-941-8909,etc.  Everytime I block the number they call from they call from a new number.  Now they are harrasing my sister and she may have to change her cell number to stop getting the calls.  I have no outstanding debt at all, they have my ss# and everything.  How can they get away with this????  I have previously reported to police, if you haven't paid any money they won't do anything.  I have reported earlier attempts to collection support company, and it only identified they were scammers.  I even had scammers calling from a texas law firm, called the firm and they were irate, the ssammer were using their names and were not from the firm.  Always foriegn speaking cant even say my name right.  Never have received anything in my mail about any of this, nor will I, I have no debt.  Can you tell I am furious.  They call me at work and on my cell phone.  Unbelievable

Just laugh at him and tell him he is a very, very bad person and that he should stay away from little boys. This really gets him going.....life is to short....so you might as well have some fun...because this guy is bill collector and will do anything to you, to get you to cooperate with his insanity. His methods are as illegal as the sun coming up in the north, so who is he going to call....ghost busters? lol

I have been receiving calls from this number also - can't understand half of what this man says all I can understand is that if I don't return his call he wishes me luck in what will happen and have a blessed day.  I don't even think he tries to tell what his name is but he is so hard to understand that maybe he is trying to tell me his name.  It is very fishy and creepy!!!!

For weeks now, I have been getting phone calls for my husband. He will not tell me the name or reason of his phone call and if I ask again he will hang up and call later. I have four little girls and he seems to call non stop during the day waking my babies up. Well, I got really upset with him and I lost my temper completely. After I hung up on his middle-eastern butt, he called two more times asking why I yelled at him. My husband came home from work and talked to him and I guess, he said that he was calling from the government and if hubby didn't pay him some kind of loan or something, that he would "see us behind bars." I could only laugh bc everything screams, FRAUD. I have decided that until I see actual proof of some kind, I will not oblige him in any more polite conversation. The worst part is, he can't even speak clear English!! This is America, if you want to work over the phones, make sure you speak very good English.

I received one of these calls today and they said I had committed some kind of fraud or something I couldn't really understand the guy but then he said would I wait two minutes so he could give me the details. Well since I haven't ever borrowed any money from a pay day loan or any other place but a bank I think this is a crock.  I have had them call before and then I just forgot about it.

I have been getting calls from them since Dec. They have called a friend asking for me and saying that they are with some kinda of financial company. The dude sounds the same but with a different name. Im so tired of them. The dont understand that people have a life and there being inconvenent. is there any way we can get the fbi to stop them?????

I just received a call from the same number with a middle eastern accent of some sort. I told him not to call this number again because I have looked up the number and this was a scam and if he continued to contact me I would report him. He was trying to interrupt me and became very irrate and I hung up on him.He call two times. The first time, I didn't answer so I looked up the number and he called right back. So that's when I answered. He did not call back after that.

yes, any dept collector has to send you a bill or notice by mail before they can put in a claim to your credit. I know I have not had any debts and nothing is on my credit report. I even called these people back and they refused to talk to me or give a business name or anything and he kept trying to get my name to "look me up in their system." then he continued to yell at me and then hang up, no business person would refuse simple information like that and get defensive to the point of yelling then hang up. Even a lawyer will give basic contact information and such.

Wow, apparently one of my old employees used me as a reference for a loan and didn't repay it.  Now I got some foreigner harrassing me even saying I am in alot of trouble and can be drug into a lawsuite if they don't get there money from him.  Funny thing is employee that used me as a reference worked for me over 10 years ago and if they would have called me before they gave him the loan I could have told them right there he wasn't worth a crap and not to loan him a dime.

I received a very similar phone call. These people have been harrassing me since last October. It stopped for about 4 months, but today I got another. I am so frustrated. They are calling me at work and talking to anyone and everyone. They addressed our male receptionist as "dude"....not a professional company. They have no scruples. I have asked for proof of the debt too and have received nothing. I've reported them to the FCC. I have no idea what I should do next. They do indeed have to send you written proof of the debt so that you have the opportunity to refute it. These people are scammers and have broken every collection law with me that you can imagine. Next time I talk to them I'm going to ask them for their address so I can send them a cease and desist letter from an attorney.

I received a call from this number today and they were claiming to be a lawer with a firm ( I couldn't understand the name) saying I had a debt that wasn't repaid throught a pay-day-loan company. I do not have any pay-day-loans so I know that they have the wrong person. They had a thick Indian accent (or something similar). I had a lot of trouble understanding them. When I asked who the original debt was through they told me Cash Advance USA, so I asked them to send me written proof of the debt they told me that they didn't legally have to. Am I wrong or don't debt collectors LEGALLY have to send you written proof of the original debt and who it was with? I would appreciate any information. Thanks.
