Called back and got the 'if you are not interested BS' tried pressing zero and it just repeated itself. So tired pushing different buttons to get someone and it eventually hung up.

Received a call from this number. Very annoying!

Received a call claiming to be Northwest Food Bank.  Hung up!

This number came up as "Cell Phone  CA." Did I mention they called at 8:56 PM MST where we live? It rang once, and that was it. Unless someone's dead (that I care about), don't call me at this time of night!

Received call from above number on Monday, July 29, 2013 late evening.!!!!  On answering,, nothing was said from calling number. After several tries, my husband hung up, muttering and disgusted.

Annoyed with these unsolicited calls, I called the number to see if anyone would answer and, if so, who.  
At that hour, I was itching to give them hell about having the audacity to "come into my home uninvited" to "pitch some b.s."; if not a sales call, then their purpose is to discover our habits, to  find out whether we are home by noting the date, day and time of day, as well as to record if someone answered, thereby telling them that we are at home.. These type of calls make my blood boil. My life is my own, as are my habits and personal business. No corporation or a commercial concern has any right to my life or information at that time -- or any time -- unless I give consent, and freely!  

People, don't just lie down and be victimized, even for something that "appears" to be so innocuous or "benign."

Do NOT simply hang up!  Call back!  Be proactive!  Find out who these jack***es are, and DO something about victimizing the American public!

When I called, back, I transcribed what was said: What follows is the transcript::  (The number was answered by a machine, a female voice, no accent, save for a generic "American" accent. "answered.")

"Thank you for calling back,"  the pre-recorded litany began.  I noted immediately that this number does not identify the themselves in any way. That alone told me a lot.

The voice continued -- again, not mentioning their names or their purpose.  It said:  "If you are not interested in our 'Preferred Future Promotions.' please press #1, now."  I did so. Nothing further was said by way of confirmation of my action.  I, therefore, called back.  With this second call to the originating number, I did get a "response" of sorts. After pressing option #1 again, the machine advised me: "Please allow up to 72 hours to have your number removed from our 'Preferred Marketing List."  

Interesting to note that the company acknowledges that WE ARE CALLING BACK!.  (Don't mean to shout.)  

More interesting is that they do NOT mention the name of their business, nor do they provide any information about the intention of their original call, music less tell us about the services that they "render." Too, they do not mention their  "business hours."  Without any of this information provided, it is quite obvious that they are not legitimate, and are, in fact,  probably malignant in their intentions.  Be aware and beware!

Once again:  Their call came on Monday, July 29, 2013, at 10:50 p.m., Pacific Daylight Savings Time. What legitimate company calls at that time? (Even during this "outsourcing era,"  time differences are built into all of India's, Malaya's, the Philippines' and Argentina's  systems.  

Start fighting these jack***es!  Find out what you can, and be proactive!  If you do receive a call from this number (it also has a 232 prefix, same last four numbers), make note of the date, time, and tell us what was said and, what was done.   Also let your local congressman know what is happening!  Let's stop being so docile, America!  We're losing ourselves and what's worse?  We don't seem to give a hoot'nholler!
Let's put an end to the greed that has caused so many Americans so much heartache!
