This guy call me telling me that he is going to put me in jail I have never donne business with him and the way he goes about talking to people is wrong. He said that he's name is Frank Miller.

I got a call today from Frank Miller (Indian accent) threatening me. I called my bank and they said it is a scam.

This guy Frank Miller frankmiller002@aol.com sent me $3,200. by UPS this morning. Since he doesn't know me I thought this to be more then STRANGE. So I googled him and boy did I read a mouth full. Apparently this guy sends out cashiers checks in hope you will spend it at Wal-mart and send money through moneygram so he can call it a loan or deposit it into your bank account like hes emails ask, so you will be responable for the money. DON'T get involed this with guy its a scam. I forwarded his emails to the BBB. the FBI, etc.

These guys were featured on 60 Minutes.  They got their information by hacking into Internet sites, and they threaten lawsuits against the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.  They speak with an Indian accent, and they claim you will face "harsh legal action" unless you send them between $500 and $1,000.  They are total idiots because their name does not even make sense:  United Investigation Bureau Department.

They use names like Roger Smith and Jack Jones, but their real names are probably something like Mahamanda Yogananda.  They can barely speak English.

They use various call back numbers including 347-844-6701 and 718-766-7916.

The best idea so far was what Paybackisabeatch suggested.  Turn the tables on them.  Call them back, ask for Habib, waste their time so that they cannot make money with scam calls to extort money from honest people who may get frightened or confused.

He claimed is name was Officer Campbell and Worked with the United Federal Investigations Department.  Gave me the number of 1-858-244-0444 Which is a private number from San Diego CA.  He asked to speak to my Lawyer before he ever proceded to tell me what was going on.  I told him if he called me at work, then he knew my lawyer was not there with me.  he then pressed some buttons and said the line was being recorded and it would be used in the upcoming trial unless I gave him the money I owed.  This is the second time I have received a call from this man with the same thick Accent.  You can hear people in the background talking the same game.  I told him I didn't want to talk to him and Hung up.  When I called the number back it went straight to a pre recorded voicemail, no rings.  I work for a Governmental Agency and I can tell you that our numbers are plainly displayed, on Caller ID and Reverse Directory and that we also Have identified voicemails, Do NOT talk to this guy.

WELL THIS GUY CALLED MY JOB AND WAS HOLLARING AT ME HE WOULD NOT EVEN LET ME TALK. HE WAS VERY MEAN AND RUDE. BUT I SCREAMED AT HIM TO LET ME TALK. HE KEPT GOING ON AND ON ABOUT THIS MONEY THAT I OWE. FROM THIS ASHLAND COMPANY. HER SAID ONCE HE HANG UP HE IS GOING TO ARREST ME HE KEPT CHANGING HIS STORY OVER AND OVER AGAIN I COULD TELL THIS WAS FRAUD. SO I LAUGHED IN HIS FACE HA HA HAHA CAUSE THE STUFF WAS A MESS. A FOREIGHN MAN TRYING TO GO OFF. IF ANYONE KNOWS ANYTHING LET US KNOW.

THIS SICK SOB CALLED MY WORKPLACE SEVERAL TIMES WHEN I WAS NOT THERE, UNTIL HE FINALLY GOT IN TOUCH W/ MY MANAGER...HE TOLD HER I WAS INVOLVED IN ILLEGAL INTERNET ACTIVITY INVOLVING MY WORKPLACE, AND WANTED TO KNOW MY NEXT SCHEDULED WORK SHIFT; ADDITIONALLY, HE ASKED MY MANAGER TO VERIFY YHE LAST FOUR OF MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER; SHE WOULD DO NEITHER..

SHE CALLED ME ON MY CELL & TOLD ME SHE HAD GOTTEN A STRANGE PHONE CALL FROM SOME "FRANK MILLER", WHO SPOKE WITH VERY BROKEN ENGLISH..

I CALLED ON MY CELL AND WAS TOLD THAT I HAD BEEN INVESTIGATED FOR ILLEGAL INTERNET ACTIVITY INVOLVING THE COMPANY THAT I WORKED FOR..THIS B*****D SAID THAT I MUST COOPERATE W/ HIM OR "GOD BE WITH YOU", AND TOLD ME IF I DID NOT "COOPERATE" THAT I WOULD BE PICKED UP BY LAW ENFORCEMENT BY THE END OF THE DAY..

I BECAME BELLIGERENT AND DEMANDED TO KNOW WHAT COMPANY HE REPRESENTED; HIS ENGLISH WAS SO BAD, I ASKED IF HE WAS IN THE STATES...HE SAID YES, AND THAT IF I "COOPERATED" WITH HIM, HE WOULD "HELP" ME..

HE ASKED IF I HAD EVER BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, THEN ASKED ME TO VERIFY MY S. SECURITY NUMBER WHICH HE RATTLED OFF ACCURATELY..I WOULD NOT GIVE HIM MY SOCIAL, BUT WAS BEWILDERED TO FIND HE KNEW IT.

I ASKED IF HE WANTED MONEY, AND HE SAID NO, BUT I MUST FOLLOW HIS "DIRECTIONS". I TOLD HIM I HAD DONE NOTHING WRONG, WAS VERY DEFENSIVE, AND HE THEN HUNG UP ON ME...

I WAS IN TEARS AS THIS CLOWN HAD MY CORRECT SOCIAL, THE NAME OF MY WORKPLACE AND THE CORRECT NAME OF MY MANAGER, NOT TO MENTION THAT HE HAD BEEN HARRASSING MY CO WORKERS AT WORK TO "GET" INFO ON ME, PUTTING THEM IN A PANIC..

MY CELL PHONE RANG AGAIN...GREAT! I HAD INADVERTENTLY GIVEN THE SOB MY CELL PHONE NUMBER BY CALLING HIM ON IT! I DID NOT ANSWER, BUT WHEN I CHECKED THE VOICE MAIL ON MY CELL A MSG WAS LEFT SAYING THAT IT WAS AGAIN THE LAW OFFICE, POSING AS "FRANK MILLER'S" MANAGER, SAYING THAT THERE HAD BEEN SOME KIND OF MISTAKE, AND HE APOLOGIZED IF "FRANK" HAD UPSET ME, BUT WOULD I AGAIN PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE. OF COURSE, I DID NOT...

I DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO...GO TO THE LOCAL POLICE DEPT TO SEE IF I WAS GONNA "BE PICKED UP?" I WENT TO MY DAD'S TO SEE WHAT HE THOUGHT, AND HE PULLED UP ALL OF THIS INFO ON THE WEB...I WOULD NEVER HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT!!

OF COURSE, WHEN I GOT HOME "FRANK" WAS ON MY (HOME PHONE), WHICH IS A NONPUBLISHED NUMBER, THREATENING ME !!

IT SCARES ME TO THINK THAT HE HAS MY CORRECT SOCIAL, IS SO "BALLSY" AS TO CONTACT MY MANAGER, THREATENING TO HAVE ME ARRESTED..AND HAS MY NONPLUBLISHED HOME NUMBER...

HAS ANYONE FILED A SUIT AGAINST THIS GUY? I WOULD LIKE TO FOR INFLICTING UNNECESSARY EMOTIONAL DISTRESS THAT HE HAS CAUSED, AND FOR EMBARRASSING ME IN MY WORK ENVIRONMENT!!

Frank Miller is a persistant bugger, keep calling and now is leaving a message at my home and calling me at work. He resides in Irvine, CA.

This guy calls me saying that I owe some company some money ($700) and that if I don't pay, I will be put in jail for a year. I think he said he was working for a lawyer and if I paid he would stop me from getting arrested. I could hardly make what he was saying because of his accent.

Frank Miller has called my son at work & his cell telling him he has a warrant out for him. All he needs to do for him to take care of the warrant is send $1100.00 he will take care of the rest. Otherwise he will be arrested. With his accent you can't tell what your being arrested  for. I'll be calling the DA in the morning. He's in CA I don't know where can anyone Help. Thanks

A man named Frank Miller, who claimed to be a Federal Investigator who had no supervisor. He told me that I was involved in fraud and that I was going to be arrested in as little as 3 hours and be fired from my job.  I needed to come up with $820 to settle out of court.  If I failed to do this, I would be looking at 6-8 months in jail and $15,000 to $20,000 in fees.  He made me put hm on hold for 15 minutes while I tried to contact my mom to help me, and I ended up asking him for his badge # and Id#.  He got very offended and yelled at me for doubting him.  While he was on hold my father googled him and found stuff on Wikipedia.  So I told "Frank" that this was illegal and I was contacting the DA and the Police.  He said they would be here anyways to arrest me in 1 hour and only god could help me now!  I called the police department who googled him and his number, and they called him!  So nthey told me to call the DA, the credit agencies because he has been known to take other peoples info and use it.  So that's what I will be spending my night and tomorrow doing.

I too got a call from Frank Miller at the same phone #.  He called and left me a threatening message at work and on my cell phone.  Earlier in the month my identity was compromised, I am assuming he's one of the leaches that jumped on the band wagon of trying to get money from me.  Fool me once shame on you...... He's persistant.

I recieved a call from (714) 243-5226 it was Frank Miller, I'm sure he was using a fake name because anyone with a thick forign accent like his would not have a name like Frank Miller.
He also told me that I would be hauled off to jail because I owed VC Funding some money($290.00) he said someone would be here to get me before the end of the day. I told him to enter his phone number on Google and see what the world thinks of him, he hung up on me.

Frank Miller called my office today and, to save time, it was almost exactly the same phrasing on his part as the accounts already posted here.  However, on his first call he claimed to be an FBI agent with the badge number 687CA.  I called the Houston, TX FBI office and they said that is not an FBI badge number.  They also said they do not know of any "United Processing Investigation Department of Law".  If you call 714-243-5226 you will get Frank Miller's voice mail; I even spoke with "the man" twice and he said I would "be arrested by tomorrow for interfering with a federal department" and asked "who the hell do you think you are".  Only someone calling from another country would be so brazen as to threaten me after I told him I had already reported him, with his phone number and name, to the real FBI.

I received a call from Frank Miller also.  Said the same thing to me that I was going to be arrested but that he would put his job and family on the line to help me if I paid $820.00.  I asked him I knew he was real and he literally screamed at me, then said,"Do you have any money or not?"  When I said no, he hung up.
