I don't know anyone in CA., so please stop calling my phone late in the evening after a long day of work?

Just answered a call from 714-243-8293 at 7:59 PM. I answered "hello" and a guy said "oops I'm sorry, I thought I was calling a business". I responded "you are" and he hung up. I close at 5:00 PM.

I just got the same call at 6:02 pm. I answered "hello" and he said, "oops I'm sorry, I thought I was calling a business." What the heck? Why would someone do this? I thought it was a legit mis-dial until I read the above comment, verbatim for the conversation I had with him.

I think it is a recording.  I answered with our business greeting and a recording started.  I hung up.  When it called again today I said "hello" and the oops, I'm sorry message played.

Exactly the same experience.  And I bet it's a recording!

The phone company is Level 3, so it is a Voip line.  So could be from anywhere in the world.

Recording concerning loans for equipment leases, business equipment, etc.
