He called my house looking for my husband stating he had some important information there in his office for my husband. My husband has had a stroke for the past eight years and has been unemployed and disabled. This Mr. Diaz is in California. He has no business with my husband....probably a 'bought-again' debt collector from eight years ago. Your comments have been very helpful, thank you for the blog.

Here we go again. Every time some collection agency buys owed debt from another agency the calls for my dead beat brother begin. This truly gets old. And there really isn't anything we the consumer can do about it. I don't care what our idiot politicians say about some law prohibiting these type calls, the law doesn't work because no one follows up on complaints so these clown collection agencies keep on a truckin. Calling the pollice doesn't work because the first thing you're told is "sorry, but it's out of our jurisdiction". The collection agencies know how to get around every law that has been passed to allegedly insure we, the consumer, are harrassed. They start off by being nice but then the nasty begins when they don't get what they want.

THIS A***OLE CALLED MY COMPANY THE OTHER DAY!! HES RUDE AND VERY ARROGANT! HE WAS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO DID NOT WORK AT MY COMPANY WHICH I CLEARLY STATED TO HIM. THEN HE PROCEEDED TO ACT LIKE I WAS LYING TO HIM AND ASK FOR MANAGERS. LITTLE DID HE KNOW I AM THE ONLY ONE WORKING IN THE OFFICE NEXT TO THE OWNER. I GAVE HIM THE SAME ATTITUDE RIGHT BACK, WHICH HE DIDNT LIKE. HE WANTED TO COMPLAIN TO MY BOSS, SO I TOLD HIM TO CALL BACK WHEN HE WAS BACK IN TOWN.
WHEN I TOLD MY BOSS ABOUT THE CALL...HE TOLD ME TO TELL THIS GUY TO F-OFF!

Robert Diaz of Diaz Associates, does not initially disclose who or what he is, directly violates Section 806(6) of the FDCPA "the placement of telephone calls without meaningful disclosure of the caller's identity".
States he has complaint about an employee, wants to speak to Human Resouces, in acutality his complaint is trying to serve legal papers for a debt collection through the courts. He uses legal verbiage but is no attorney, he is a process server. He is willing to divuldge personal information about the employee in efforts to gain the information he needs, willing to violate company policies for employee privacy and shame the employee in the eyes of Human Resources. Will encourage employee to report him as he is clearly in violation of Section 806 of the FDCPA.
