Oh For Heck!
Our mortgage was discharged back in 2010 and property surrendered to Bank of America. Not sure how but BofA gave Green Tree Servicing the paper and now they are trying to collect, on a debt that does not legally exist. Amazing but not a big shock since BofA has a collective intelligence equal to a box full of hair.

The man left a message that he was calling for my husband regarding my husband's "associate", Chester Ritchie, and they would like Chester to give him a call at 800839188 extension 79134. OK, that isn't even a complete phone number. And with the number of "Card Services" calls I have been getting a"final notice" from, this is not anyone I will be calling back.

"Betty" (yeah, right) who apparently has no last name called at 9:35am this morning from (714) 361-2615 in Irvine, CA fishing around for information about a neighbor. Betty was very cagey and would not identify her company or purpose for calling. She kept repeating that my number was given as a reference. She refused to answer questions about the purpose of her call. I finally got her to give me the name of her company "Greentree", but she refused to provide a simple, direct answer as to her purpose in calling and how she got my number. I finally asked for a supervisor and she said "there is no need to talk to a supervisor, if you decline to pass on the message" At this point I hung up. " Greentree Betty had heretofore never mentioned that she was trying to pass on a message. My take: Betty and "Greentree" are scammers. I would never give them any information about anyone. If you get a call from Betty of Greentree, do everyone a favor and hang up. Block the number if you can.

It is Greentree Loan Servicing Company. They will not leave you alone even after your debt has been discharged by bankruptcy or the property has been short sold.
