Get caller ID, don't pick up the phone if you don't recognize the number, if you can't get caller ID, let your answering machine get your calls - your friends and family will soon catch on. It does no good to talk to these people or try to call them back. It only increases your blood pressure.

Got a call from this #, said he was from clearview and wanted to paint my house. I said no thanks and hung up. He called back the next day, ask for me by name and then he hung up.

they say they are an energy saving program.  They just don't stop calling i get calls about 1x a week.  I am now trying to sell them advertising over the phone i got as far as a supervisor.  I thought that there was a law passed that companies can be fined if you are on the do not call list (which by the way means nothing in so many words according to the fcc)

Caller ID says "Irvine". When I dialed back I got a fax noise. When I answered the call a man asked for me by first name and I replied "yes" and he hung up!

I get these calls from this number frequently. They do not leave a message.

Having 50+ different locations with multiple numbers at each office, they are able to defeat the call blocking feature that allows 20-30 numbers blocked.  I hate these A-holes.

Call iD said irvine.  But everybody know if you call back and it says disconnected, its a bill collector.  I mean what kind of a Gov program would have these same results.  I think its a subsidiary of delta dental, nobody else call my house but family and delta collectors.  I've never even been to the dentist.  They have 50+ different offices to collect from.

Called saying he was a contractor for the HERO program in Riverside Cnty.  He wanted to make an appointment tomorrow to give an estimate on painting the house.  I refused, he hung up.

These fools call every so often, I won't answer but they never leave a message. Just another example of a waste of human genetic material.

Calls, hangups, even when I pick up on first ring.

Got call. Didn't pick up. Answering machine recorded about 30 seconds of static.

I have been receiving them about once a week for last several weeks. Same result when dialing back: Disconnected.

All I know is what everyone else does, apparently. It originates from Anaheim, disconnected and, no one there when answered.

One possibility I have considered is that it is/was possibly linked to a VOIP service such as Google Voice, etc., wherein calls, texts, etc are forwarded to another number.

It's possible that the system is not processing something correctly and, the "phantom" calls are literally being generated by the system itself.

I'm no expert. Just imaginative. Just a thought. ???

Called number back about 2 minutes later and got a message that said this number has been disconnected.  Very weird.

Could not understand who he wanted to speak to, he hung up.
