Called and hung up.

I just signed up for a phone service through Inphonex (a voip provider). I was given this 1-800-969-8541 as my number saturday 8-20-08 at 11pm. Since saturday I have recived over 100 calles from people stating that 1-800-969-8541 had called them. Whoever had this nubmer before does not have it now. I am in the process of getting a new 800 number from inphonex. I do not want to be associated with this number and I just want an 800 number for incomming calls for my business.

I messed with them giving them all kinds of differnt credit cards with letters in the numbers. it was hilarious! just have fun with them. They live in india anyways. what are they going to do? they call saying their name is Nikki or Amanda hah! The woman who i gave the bogus numbers to called me today telling me to go kill myself then hung up.

Have asked them to remove my number from their list, still calls persist.  Have gotten beligerent with them, they have gotten beligerent with me.  Please help.

They call me know constantly for 3 weeks!!! Alays asking for a Debbie.
When I try saying 'There is no Debbie here, you have the wrong #, please stop calling me' they hang up before I finish my sentence!

Repeat calls (today and over the last few). When I returned the call, there was no one there and then a hang up. As others have said, usually I ignore numbers unknown to me, but after a few times, I thought it might be legitimate -- but NO.

This number called offering to renew our prescription for Viagra. Woo hoo!

Calls and hangs up. I returned the call and a message instantly plays after one ring saying "Sorry, no one is available to take your call right now. Goodbye"

Same BS number...Tele-Annoying!

I received calls from this number on 12/3/08 and 12/23/08.  I do not answer unrecognized phone numbers for the most part.

Keep in mind the number displaying in caller ID's can be easily spoofed through a variety of methods.

So someone still thinks this is a "good" number to use for the display phone when making what are presumably telemarketing calls.

Same thing nov 24 I get call and nothing call back and get busy tone. may be nco financial. bill collections. i just got a message.

damn same thing happening with me on my cell phone.  Every damn day I get a call from this number and no one is there.  Returned calls just get a busy signal.

called on Oct. 21 and also hung up. return phone calls always reach a busy signal.

After a pile of "you are calling an 866 number, and you were called by an 800 number?" and so on, I said "Well, I thought I was calling back an online pharmacy, per something I saw online, but if not, OK, then, good-bye" and he suddenly said "Wait!  Are you looking for something?" and I said "Well, I thought I was calling an online pharmacy, so I guess I made a mistake" and he said "No, no mistake; could I get your name?"

So: WONDERFUL!  They are indeed the same people!  Go get 'em!

They need to stop calling me! it's annoying when i'm at work!!!!!!

I would love to 'scream', but in my case this number calls about 4 times a day and when I answer no one is there.I have called back and just get cut off. However, 2 days ago when I called back, I got lengthy messages in Spanish.

How do I get these people to stop calling??

They are calling THREE and FOUR times a day!  We see them on our caller ID and we don't answer.  When the answering machine comes on they hang up.  If I could reach them I would KILL THEM!!!  Like everyone else I have told them I've never ordered from them, TAKE ME OFF YOUR CALL LIST!  They are worse than ever.

This number keeps calling me... saying I ordered weight loss medicine from them... which I never did. I have asked them to stop calling...I've asked for a supervisor...and they  hung up.  How do we make them stop.

I get one or two calls/day from this number - the number shows up on my cell phone so I don't answer it when I see that number now but it is annoying to have them calling everyday.

I have gotten a call from this number every day for the past 2 weeks.  I  managed to answer before they hung up, and when I started to tell the caller (as I have done numerous times in the past) that I didn't want to be called any more, he hung up and I got blasted by a loud beep in my ear.

keep calling and calling me. can nothing be done to stop this people?

1-800-969-8541   is this number pestering the mess out of you... well if they are calling your cell phone SAVE the number as DO NOT ANSWER and assign the NO RING ringtone!!!

i try to call this number back (800-969-8541) and its in spanish so i cant tell them to stop or anything...

but the last time someone called telling me that my RX was ready to be sent out i told them that this was my friends phone and she had died from taking some medicine she received in the mail and that i would be sure to give their number to the police....they stopped calling!!!

when i try to call it back its someone in spanish!! i don't even speak spanish!

It is frustrating to keep getting these calls (plus my dog starts howling every time the phone rings).  
If you only want to annoy them, try this:  When they ask for Mark, Bill, Tina or whoever, just say "sure, just a minute".  Then set the phone down and go back to doing whatever you were doing before the phone rang.  If you really want to irritate them, pick up the phone every 20 or 30 seconds and tell them Mark, Bill, Tina etc "are on their way".  Of course this is not practical on a cell phone.
Totally ineffective at gettng them to stop calling but it makes me laugh everytime I do it.  I kept one guy going for 4 or 5 minutes before he cursed me out in Hindi or pig latin or whatever.

This on-line pharmacy calls daily and hangs up.  When I do speak with someone I ask them to take me off their list.  The caller becomes hostile and I hang up.  I am on the do not call list.
