Hello All,
I keep getting call from various recruiting firms and sometimes arround 30 calls! within an hour!
on a specific day , it was a Admin assistant level 3 job with Honeywell and most of them dont bother to leave a message ,one of the recruiter asked me for last 4 digits of my SSN# and month and Day of Birth i was very skeptical in giving out that # but she told me that she would put random # and submit me but i should not give authorization to anyone apart from her to submit resume .....i said go ahead (i was unemployed for 4 months and didnt wanna lose this opportunity ) and guess what i got an interview and i was selected :) i agree that there is a huge scam running out there just to catch your neck but sometimes you just gotta trust and keep your instincts !

My home phone is on the Do Not Call list, but we still get somewhere between 5-10 calls a day from solicitors.

I got a call from this number. The caller asked for me by name, and gave me his "name," I asked what he wanted and he hung up. Probably he figured out by my tone of voice I wouldn't be a cooperative patsy.

Been receiving this call up to twice a day for several months...never does a person respond on the other end. Began to wonder if they are trying to determine our times of being at home.

Call into my home land-line which I only use for fax machine. It's an unlisted number and on the DNC list. No one was on the line when I said hello. I am also in Riverside County, California.

The same rip-off home rebuilding contractor looking to steal credit info. Spoofing a different number every day.

A woman called from this number around 4:30 today and she asked for me and I said speaking. She sounded like she was calling from a large or high volume call center because I could hear overlapping calls in the background. She said she was calling from something to do with Riverside County it sounded like she said hero's but I didn't quite catch it because she moved away from the phone. She then said oh I see you own your home and she gave my address. I promptly said "no I don't." She then replied oh your renting and i said yes then she said sorry for the call and hung up one me. I assume she was either calling for a donation or for home improvement company.

I had the same experience as John above. They call, there is no message or person on the phone, and eventually the call disconnects. Subsequently, I get a call from someone soliciting money. I reported them to the do not call list at: https://www.donotcall.gov
I suggest that others do the same. Hopefully, they get fined and get the point that this scam will not work.

I received a call from Johnny Lee at 714-408-9188 ( johnny.lee@midcom.com ) telling me that he would submit my resume to Moog, Inc. for a job that pays $110 to $120K annually. He said I could expect to get a call from Moog in the next few days regarding an interview. That was December 19, 2012. I have left Johnny Lee several voice mails and emails about why I haven't heard from Moog and if he would have the professionalism to give me a response about what my status is with this job posting. As you can probably guess by now, Johnny Lee never responds to any messages sent his way. He even has a supervisor who also does not return any messages. June Kim, 714-507-3721 , june.kim@midcom.com. I'm not sure what type of employment agency Midcom is, but it seems they take pride in being a bunch of low-lifes who feel that ethical business practices don't apply to them.

Tim Spencer sent me an email about a position with a company. Then 15 minutes later I get a call from a blocked number. It is Tim Spencer and he tells me about a position with Honeywell. Then he tells me some manager will call me next week. Then he asks me for the last four digits of my social security number. I decline him and he asks me for any four numbers. I give him 0000 and he asks me for my birthdate. I decline again, saying that a recruiter shouldn't have that information. He then tells me he's going to put down Feb. 14 as my birthday. That's how the call ended. I hope I don't get any more calls.

The guy I talked to said they were a recruiter for SkillStrong. If they are a recruiter, they are hiring the absolute wrong people to do their recruiting. The dude sounded suspicious and if you can't leave a voicemail, you shouldn't be in a professional position...ESPECIALLY recruiting.

I don't believe this firm is legit at all. My wife took a call from this number last week where a Tom or John Anderson was asking for me. Anderson said he was calling on behalf of Panasonic. Anderson also said he was calling since I never replied to his emails. Really? I checked the email I account I've used on resumes for the last few years and couldn't find any reference to Panasonic or Anderson (Andersen as well) in any of my folders, including the SPAM folder.
So, folks here are saying they'll get a unique job id after providing a SSN and birthdate. No thanks. This SCREAMS of identity theft. Time to block this number.

This is a job recruiter.

As with Tyler, I got an email from Tim Spencer. I responded to the email with the non-personal information that he requested and asked that I be contacted by email as I am still working on another contract. I have been getting calls from this number all day now with no messages left.
I also made the mistake of emailing from my current network with my signature block on the email. I just got back to my desk and found that they're now calling my office phone - 5 missed calls. I will never go through Midcom at this point, even if they are a legit recruiter.
| Tyler 2011-05-11 19:42:40 Unknown |
They are saying that they are a recruiter for top companies in the area (Boeing, Honeywell, etc). After getting valid gob information about experience that you have had (obviously viewed on a resume through Career Builder) they request to make a "unique job id" and are required to get your SSN# and your birthdate.
If this truely is a company that is as accredited as Boeing or Honeywell, all of which require types of security clearance for certain projects, they would not require your social and birthdate.
Seconds after this call I received an email from a "Tim Spencer from Midcom Corporation" stating the same information that was from the call.
| John 2011-04-27 17:22:37 Unknown |
I just took their call.
The agency is Midcom in Anaheim, Ca.
Yes, it's very annoying that the person called every 2 hours for 2 days but couldn't be bothered to leave a message.

The are a recruiter for Boeing.

I get a call every morning, sometimes twice. A voicemail is never left. I'm afraid to call because I don't want to end up on a war-dialer list.
