He had his girl call last week acting like they wanted to send us a referral. She spoke too fast to understand and I just knew it was sales. Didn't even pass it along. Rick Begando called today and when asked what it was regarding said "personal injury torts and something else" cases he had. mmmhmmm. These guys are driving me nuts.

Received a message from Rick Begando on Monday August 27th. Couldn't hear his last name, so I googled his company name, PNP legal. His message insinuated he had 3-8 perspective clients for us and to call him back at 949-861-5638. After reading this, I wont be calling him back. Thanks for this info.  Received a garbled message on my voicemail about someone looking for a probate attorney.  "Rick" left the number 877.467.1925 and asked me to call him back at his desk.

Just got a similar message.  Rude caller.  Implied he was a prospective client.

I just got a call from "Rick" also. Almost identical to the messages left above. He was trying to pretend he's looking for a bankruptcy attorney and to please call him back at his desk tomorrow, which happens to be Memorial Day. The number he left to call him back was 888-705-0721 and the caller ID says it's 877-467-1925.

If this guy thinks there's ANY way I'm going to do business with him when he's trying to trick me into calling him by pretending he's a potential client, he's nuts.

He is a sales person looking to sell leads.  He never wants to give his full name or the name of his company.  FIRST CLUE .... we always know it is a sales call when someone refuses to give complete contact information. His name is Rick Begando.  He currently works for RealPractice is Santa Ana, CA.  He tries to make you think he is going to send you business and it is always in the type of law your firm handles.  Yes, he is rude and will not give any information unless he speaks directly with an attorney.  At our firm, NO CALLS are ever put through to an attorney.  We are told to screen all calls carefully to weed out the sales calls.  This time he uses his cell phone number oif 949-861-5638.  He even gave me an extension number of 111 to try to make me think it was an office number.   When you call back however, he answers (there is no extension on a cell phone).  When you google the telephone number, it shows that it is a cell phone.

Same as Illinois recipient.  Rick left a vm asking for a probate attorney.  When I called him back, he would only speak to an attorney and hung up on me.

Rick left me a vm as well, but left (888) 705-0721 as his number.  Same type of message:  "I'm calling to see if you handle probate.  If so, please call me at my desk."

You guys crack me up.  It is called SALES.  Lawyers...A necessary evil.

He called and left a message 2/15/12 that would lead one to believe he's a prospective client.  Reversed search the call back number and here he is.  If more people would stop giving these clowns any business from these calls, they might stop calling.

This idiot just called our law office. I knew that he was a scam artist from the time I got him on the phone. He only wanted to speak with the attorney. Since we're an immigration law office he said that he was interested in brining people over to work at his office. After reading all of these posts, I called him back and told him to never call our office again. He was really deceptive.

Rick Begando called and left a vague message that sounded like he was interested in hiring an attorney.  When I called back it clearly became clear he was with a legal referral service of some kind but he continued to ask vague and misleading questions.  Do not return his call.  Anyone who has to leave misleading messages to get his calls returned is not just "doing his job" as "CA in the know" states.  No one's job description should include bait-and-switch to get your calls returned.

Just called my office and told our receptionist he was looking for personal injury attorney . When my paralegal answered the phone to speak with him he would not talk to a non-attorney. When asked if this was a sales call he said I would prefer to talk to an attorney.


Rick if you are reading:  You will never get my business by being deceptive no matter how good the product is you're selling. My guess based on the way you spoke to my office your selling crap!

I received a voicemail from Rick Begando leaving this number. Given that he's listed on LinkedIn as an account executive for RealPractice (a company that provides online marketing and software services for attorneys), I'm guessing it was a sales call. The message was very vague -- "I'm calling to speak with you in regards to finding out if you do estate planning. If you do that, I'd appreciate a call" -- almost implying that he's a prospective client (which wouldn't make a lot of sense since I'm not in California).

A man named Rick Begando called looking to speak with the attorney in the office that handles Probate work.  He paused a little bit before saying Probate so my guess is he was just grabbing some area of law out of the air.  I asked him what county because we work out of a lot of counties and he said the one we are in.  Our office is on the line between two counties so he is obviously some fake who apparently will only speak to an attorney.  Red Flag on this one.  He is a total jerk, do NOT give out any information to him!!  Thankfully I found all the rest of these posts that have said the same thing!  What a waste of time!

A man named Rick called looking to speak with a Social Security Disability attorney and then pronounced the name of our city incorrectly.  I asked him if he had already applied for benefits and he stated he wouldn't tell me because I'm not an attorney.  I asked him if this was regarding disability benefits or another matter and he again told me he would only speak to an attorney.  Red flags all over.  Glad I found this post!

Rick Begnado called our office asking to speak with Atty ____.  We have two attorneys with that last name and when asked which one he actually did provide a correct first name.  When asked what the call was regarding he said "looking for a probate attorney" and refused to provide any additional details.  Given the weird number, we did the reverse telephone lookup and discovered all the other posts.  Jerk!

Rick Bhendo called looking for a Chaper 7 Atty and then said, oh wait I mean Estate Planning Atty.  Would not give any information as to why he wanted to speak to an Atty, would only leave an out of state number... Must be a telemarketer...  Thanks for wasting my time RICK...

A man only identifying himself as "Rick" just called from this number asking to speak to an attorney regarding Chapter 7 bankruptcy. He would not give any other information about himself or the nature of his problem. Needless to say, he will not be getting a call back.

A fellow identifying himself only as "Rick" called to my office in Virginia, after business hours, wanting a call back to 714-415-4352 ... this is an Orange County, California area code.  We called back, and he didn't answer.  Sounded like his name on his voice-mail message is "Begando" or something like that.  Couldn't tella s he mumbled.

Ditto, I think he's peddling legal advertising of some sort. I do not get calls from out of state clients, and it's a tip off that he left no information, pretended to want an attorney in Minnesota and leaves a California number. Should have just said he was promoting advertising. Dear Rick, for this reason alone I won't be calling you back.

Left name of rick Begando (?) hard to understand. Message left acted like her was a personal friend.  No idea who this is. anyone know anything about this number - I believe it is a telemarketer.  In the legal field.
