We get a call at our home # from GCS at least once a day.  This has been going on for about a year now.  I answered it the first few times, and it was someone claiming to be with US Bank, and then started rambling on about INSURANCE SERVICES, etc.....I always just said "No Thank You" and hung up.  Now...when I see a call coming in from them I answer it with a loud "HELLO" and then put the phone down by the TV or the Radio....for about 5 minutes.  I have asked them to stop calling, and they won't...so, I might as well have some fun with them.  I like the idea someone posted earlier about just staying on the call and ask stupid, totally unrelated questions...like..."what should I have for lunch today?"...."Do you know where my blue shirt is?"...."I'll have two scoops, if there's any left".....etc...until they hang up.

Getting calls from a company called GCS. Don't leave a message. Call frequently all times of day and night.

calls have been ongoing for a few weeks about twice a day.  I thought if I just didn't answer the computer on the other would finally mark me down as no answer and move on.
But I did read one comment from Jan. that said they talked to them and the calls stopped.
Does anyone know if these companies share the numbers that actually get answered?

Is there a way tyo block calls on a land line?

They keep calling but leave no message or no one is on the other end!

I work in a home healthcare setting, and this number calls at least twice a night. Sometimes it is just silence, a few times someone asking for a client (non-verbal individual) and when I ask what it is regards to, they tell me it is a courtesy call from USBank(client does not have abank account). I need to be professional while at work, but one of these days I might take the cordless outside, and let them have it!

Got a call from them since last week. Twice in one day. I really want them to stop!!!

Please dont anyone give out their information or verify anything! US bank will NOT call you and ask that! US bank is NOT involved with this company!

I used to work for a credit agency - a legitimate agency would leave a message, not have a robo-caller, and send you a notice through the mail.  They would not call several times a day and leave no message.  That behavior is illegal in most states.

I've been getting those calls, too, but I never answer the phone at home unless I'm expecting someone to call me.  That these people call several times a day is getting really annoying even if I don't answer it.

I'm glad I found this site - this has been driving me nuts.

No messages left; dozens of calls over the last few weeks.

I keep getting calls from these people.  I finally answered last week, and was also told they are affiliated with USBank (my bank) and something about insurance.  I told them to send me info and I'd look at it.  I'm STILL getting calls, and have started picking up and immediately hanging up on them.  Maybe they'll get the hint.  Glad I found this sight to confirm that they are bad news...

I have tried to call this number back and all Iget is a recording on selliing ins. When it prompts ypu to press 2 that you are not interested it does not accept it. The calls start again.

Contantly calling. Never leaves message. I am on the do not call list and this one never stops.

Did you pay your USBank credit card? They could possibly be a collection agency wanting their money.

GCS or Global contact services 304-877-2950 is their office line so give them a call and let them know how you feel about being called 20 x a day.

FYI.... The calls didn't stop in early 2010.... I'm still getting them in November.  --- From "GCS".  I don't answer and he/she/they/it leaves no message(s).

Actually, it is $1500 for every intentional call...and regardless of the reason.

I just go our umpteenth call from them. We had been ignoring it via our caller ID, but after reading all these posts I answered it, and as soon as they asked for a me, I stated "This call in in volation of the Federal Do Not Call regulations. One more call from this orgianization and I shall file a complaint with the FCC. Good-bye." We'll see if that does any good. If not, I'll file a complaint. Those can cost $1000 per occurance if I remember correctly.

Getting numerous calls a day from GCS 714-463-2944

Finally answered and they identified themselves as being with USBank, making a courtesy call, needing to verify information.

Scam Scam Scam!

They called two or three times a day, 714-463-2944 or 805-309-5554 and more, very tough, bothering me all the time.

FOLLOW UP:

They called again.  This time I answered.  Lady asked for my wife.  I told her that my wife was at work and if I can take a message.  Lady said her name was "Robin Knowles" with U.S. Bank.  I asked for a number and the lady gave me "1(888)449-4544".  I also asked her what it was pertaining to.  She said it was regarding benifits.

I called the number the lady gave and it went to "Customer Service" and the they were closed on weekends.  Message did not say a bank name or anything else.

Been recieving calls for at least a month or more. After repeating that we are on a "do not call list" they still kept calling at least 7 days a week, twice a day, sometimes 3 times a day. Decided to ask to speak to a supervisor, when the woman who I was speaking to said they were affilated with U.S. Bank and something about Insurance. So I demanded to speak to her supervisor again at that time she said "Ok, one moment" put me on hold?? and never got to speak to a supervisor. Afterwards, I called U.S.Banks and was told "U.S. BANKS is NOT affilated with this company (GCS). And I had U.S. Banks take us off their marketing list! Looks like they are a telemarketer!

This GCS has called several times today on a Saturday.   I believe they have called before when I have answered before checking caller id.  When I answered a woman asked for my son and when I said he wasn't available she abruptly hung up.   I now check caller id and never answer but they keep calling anyway, leaving no message.

Finally... I come across this website and realize, I'm not the only one getting these calls.  They call everyday at least once or twice.  If it was Wells Fargo, they always leave a message... especially if you already have some kind of an account with them.  I'm sure other banks do, too.

I thinks I will answer next time and ask them the questions until they hang up.

Keeps on calling and calling and I need it to stop. I have other very important calls coming in, and so I run to the phone. This is very very annoying. I am started to get angry.
