i keep getting calls from different numbers at work and at home and told them I was reporting them for harrassment.  I mean really who do they think is going to fall for this crap especially with these heavy Indian accents saying their name is John Smith or something crazy.

Got the same call. I just blocked the NUMBER.

Received a call with the same MO as all these other testimonies, when I tried to call the number back got a voice mail, some lady named Karen?? Going to report them to the California BBB.

Called me repeatedly and threatened me saying that I have had charges filed against me, my name and SSN. Said I needed to call the number back and speak to Curtis Jackson to find out what the charges are. 714-482-3347.  When I told him not to call me back and hung up on him, he called me back and asked why I hung up on him.  I told him to not call me again and that I am on the Do NOt Call List and hung up again.  He then called me back and when I didn't pick up he left a threatening voice mail.

I got a call from this number today threatening me with legal action if I did not return the call the very second I heard the message. The person calling me was male, with a heavy (computer sounding) accent, but when I called the number back I got a very sweet sounding person on a voicemail message who said her name was Karen...hmmm... why is Eric Henderson (supposedly Indian) calling from Karen's phone (and she sounds as American as Apple Pie)??? Also had a call the other day telling me that I was approved for a pay day loan and it sounded like the very same voice on my answering machine, but he talked in a way hard to comprehend all he said. That call he claimed his name was Joseph and I was to call his manager Danielle Bryan at 202-657-6908, I called, left a message and never heard a word back from them... funny... NOT!

this "victor Watson" has been calling my cell and job for the past 2 days..this is a scam, he claims to be a legal aid from the "federal department" and that I have 3 federal law charges against me and he needs to speak with me or my attorney.  he requested I call back to the same number and ask for "Curtis Jackson".  i called the number back and there was voicemail for a "karen".  when i finally got this alleged "Curtis Jackson" on the phone he did not even know who I was and after I told him they have to stop harassing me he turned the tables and said I was harassing him.  this is a scam, if it was legit why couldn't they just transfer you to who you needed to speak with and with all the background noise it sounds like a call center in another country.  I spoke with "victor"  again today and informed himthat he was not allowed to call my work number and that I would be reporting them to the police.  If they call again I will play along so I can receive more info for reporting these people.  I obviously made the mistake of applying for a Payday Loan online and will never do that again.  All the ifo they have my name, cell & work number, parts of SSN is the info I provided.  Payday loans are generally not worth the intersect anyways.  I'm definitely paying for that mistake now, it's embarrassing to receive calls at work from someone claiming to be calling in regards to "federal law charges"...duly noted

not only are they leaving threatening messages on my cell phone they are also calling my husbands work # saying there are criminal charges against him....if and when they answer the phone # they tell yu to call back they state that they are "an attorneys office"

Indian man called 3 charges against me. Police will be at my job by 11am tomorrow to arrest me.etc etc. knew my ssn last 4, bank number. Scared me to death. How could people do that to someone. They have no heart no respect, absolute disgusting.
Is there anything I need to do on my end beside filing a complaint against them, curtis jackson, Karen, and many other alias.

Got several calls from this number. Very threatening....Have my husbands social security number and our bank account number.  Very scary. Also have gotten calls from 2602212000 and 6463554189,  Have reported all numbers and am contacting my bank later today.

We received this call in referenece to a payday loan,they said that they was calling from the State Attorneys office and they wanted money from a loan that didn't exist. They claim they had paper work and gave their names as Curbis Jackson and Harry Kenderson or something like that. When we called back that number rang to a voixemail of "Karen".  This number is a cell and or is unpublished. Its Bogus! A scam.

i just got this call what should i do

Recieved a call from this company saying i had a legal notice filed against my name and social security number. That i needed to pay money outside off court or it would be taken to court for a cash advance i never did, nor did i recieve money for. This was almost the same exact sayings i recieved from another number a few weeks earlier.

Got a call this morning at 9 am saying he was from the State Attorney's office and his name was Robert James.  I told him that I know this is a scam that i have already reported them to our local authorities and the FBI, he hung up on me.

jerk just called me and said the same thing when I told him that I would have my attorney to call he stated that he could only talk to me , that's when I knew is was bs so I told him I was calling the FBI on him then he hung up in my face.

I reported it to the FBI and I suggest everyone do the same thing. Keep track of who is calling you and let them know that you will be recording their calls as evidence from now on.

This is all a scam.  There are several numbes that call and say the same thing.  These people are evil.  Nothing to fear it is all a hoax.  The FBI is aware of all of this.

I received the exact same message as others from Peter this morning.  I'm not even sure who to report it to but it to since I don't live in California.  I googled the information and found this site.  I am at least relived to confirm that it is a scam.

I got a call from these guys this morning at 8 a.m. central time.  He had a heavy Middle Eastern Accent.  I got a call from a 712 number last week claiming the same thing. That I owed them money and that they would arrest me. So I started playing along, saying that I would pay them but I needed his information to get him the money.  I also recorded the phone call.  After I got his information I told him someone already tried this scam on me last week and that I was going to report him to the FBI as a terrorist organization, which they kind of are.  He immediately hung up.  I will be filing a complaint on the FBI website with the information he gave me to send him the money too. I hope you all do the same.

I just received a message from this number from a guy who called himself Peter saying that if he didn't hear from me or my attorney then all he could do was wish me luck in my situation. I called back and some Indian guy told me Peter was gone for the day and to call back at 8am but didn't have office hours because their law firm receives a lot of cases. I am now filing a police report. major scam that scared the crap out of me!!

i too got a call from that number and was told i had a case and he told me my four digit ssn  and told me he was legal aid and he couldnt tell me what it was about and i call back the number and recording came on and it was karen who the hell she is but it didnt say state attn offices

Hello all - Same dude called me (heavy Indian accent) named Peter James, my phone company told me I can dial *60 to block off unwanted phone numbers from calling me. Call your respective carrier to find out your options.

Just got that call and he gave me the name and number to a Curtis Jackson the number was the same that called me and when I called it I got a lady named Caren.

idk how these people get our numbers but ill be filing a complaint to California's state attorny office, the guy said i would be arrested and fired at my job and bc i had legal charges against me and activity on my S.S #. Idk who would belive a heavy accented person trying to sound stern...LMAO

i know how must these indian b*****ds get the info if you apply for any payday loans on line this is how they get your phone number and all the other personal information that goes with it.

same thing, guy named TONY DAVIS (could barely understand, heavy Indian accent), 714-482-3347.  said social security number is being illegally used.  called the number back and just rings and rings, SCAM.

Received a phone call this morning on both my fiance' s phone as well as mine. Heavy Indian accent, said he was Curtis Jackson.. and that he was calling for the California state attorneys office in regards to a lawsuit that was being filed against my fiance and myself.

Sad part is I have quite a few family members that work for the federal government. This Indian fellow and all his friends are now being investigated. The number he called from is 1-741-482-3347.
