I have not been in Best Buy or registered in any contest. Wish the jerks would STOP.

Got a message this evening. "Your entry has WON! Go to BestBuyWin.net and enter your winning code 5555 to claim your $1000"  I never entered any contest for Best Buy. I don't even shop there.  Just another scam. I wish someone could stop these.

just got the BestBuy text message on cell phone claiming my entry last month won, go to some number etc. etc.  I deleted it without replying.  I didn't enter anything anywhere last month, nor bought anything at Best Buy in a long time.

I got the same message, but from BestBuyContest.com and the 'winning code' was 2913.  PISSES ME OFF that I have to pay a half minute to find out I didn't want to read this crap in the first place!

Text message on cell phone today said I won gift card at Best Buy for $1000.00 Definite scam. Havent been to Best Buy in at least a year. Conf. number is 8475.

SPAM on iPhone

I just called the number.  Surprise!  The mailbox was full.  I don't appreciate someone getting hold of my cell phone number and using up my limited texts that I have, by my choice.

From another link I looked at it appears this same scam originates from a number of other phone numbers as well. I received the same scam from this 714 number at 2am. One of the individuals that received the scam from another number said they were going to sign that phone number up for a bunch of free offers so the scammers phone would get bombarded with a bunch of texts. I don't know if that will work but sounds like a good idea at least.

I just received a text (apparently came in at 2:04 a.m.) from 714.616.6158 that says the following: "Your entry last  month has WON! Go to BestBuyRaffle.com and enter your winning code 9170 to claim your FREE $1000 BestBuy gift card within 24 hrs."

The official Best Buy website is www.bestbuy.com, so this has made me curious.  I looked up the raffle and it brought me to this website which isn't a good sign.  The thing that bothers me is that we recently renewed our cell phones and bought them at Best Buy.  On the other hand, I did sell some things on Craigslist and put my cell phone in the listing, although I spelled it out partially numerically and partially in words so it wouldn't easily get picked up by spammers.  Wierd.

Once I entered the code it opens a page that asks for my email and at the top shows bestbuy.rewardhubzone.com. and has the following information which tells me it's definitely a scam:

Received a message this morning. WTH?  Just got a new iPhone and this is the FIRST spam text message I have EVER received... on any phone... coincidence? or related to some off the wall APP I checked out?

BestBuyWin.net IS a scam--didn't go to web-site-checked around first--why can't the proper authorities follow this number and arrest or shut these kind of scumbags down? There must be thousands of people who don't have computers, or don't use them, that are scammed by these A$$-wipes every day. And how did they get my cell number, Verizon? A pox upon all these low-life parasites.

Got the same message that I had won a best buy 1000.00 gift card and had to go online within 24 hrs. to get it.  Message came in at 4am.  Sure that this is a scam!!  I hope that they shut this number down!!

Got a text at 10:30 pm that I had won $1000.00 Best Buy gift card. Questioned it of course and when I went to the referred web-site and read the crap that you had to agree to I knew not to continue. I had not been to Best Buy in years so I could not figure out my "entry" won!!

Got this as a text message on my cell phone.  Really pissed, since I won't do business with Worst Buy anyway I knew it was a scam.  If someone will buy me a plane ticket I would like to personally shove a cell phone up this persons a**!  I hate having to stop what I'm doing to answer my cell phone.
