Received a call from this number. I am on a do not call list and would appreciated not being harrassed.

I called the number and response was, "Not in service"

It would be nice if the telephone company were more responsive?

I am puzzled myself by Orange County area codes popping up on Caller ID since Share Group does not have call center in CA. Must be something about how the calls are routed around the country.

Yea..They have been calling my house daily too and ph# were 626-273-8216 and 562-223-8847- and 562-223-8844.They were calling regarding the DNC.I am also on do not call list. Somehow these people got our number though. Very irritating.

Not respecting the DNC list.  Not respecting their own unsubscribe feature.

I've gotten recent calls from this number.  No messages left.  If it's Share Group Inc, who is a marketing advisor for charities/non-profits/etc., then obviously they are providing a calling service for the different entities they represent... Calling us for donations.  (714) does appear to be an Orange County area code.  Maybe it's a tactic used so that people in the LA/San Diego/Orange County areas will be receptive to the calls??  Doesn't the Do Not Call list apply to cell phones regardless of what type of company is calling?... I thought cell phone soliciting was a big no no.

OH goodie!  More calls from Share Group!  BTW I've read that since they are working for Non-Profits they do not need to abide by the DNC lists as non-profits are exempt.  Any way, I figured I'd cross post the comment I left on 6/19/09 in response to the 626# they had been calling me from (fyi this was after I returned the call and pressed 2 to be removed from future callings):

I just got ANOTHER call from this # and was able to answer it.  It was a guy trying to get me to donate $3-$5 a month to the Humane Society of the US...an org. I already donate to several times a year!!  The really weird thing is that he was trying to tell me that if I donate $3-$5 a year (which works out to $36-60 total) I wouldn't be obligated to donate for the rest of the year and I could ignore any *additional* fund raising CALLS or mail outs I receive.  I told him I was pretty sure I'd already donated more than that this year alone and I'd like to just keep doing it my way and he said but if I did monthly I wouldn't have to donate more.  Seems like they are trying to get people to donate LESS by this logic!

Share Group Inc has been calling my house for weeks (at least). I get a call almost every day and we usually ignore it. Finally, I decided to answer hoping to get them to stop. I am tired of all the dead air on my answering machine. They asked for my husband and when I said he wasn't home they hung up. The next time I asked who they were and they said they were calling on behalf of a nonprofit he belongs to. I told them to take us off their list. I got ANOTHER call a few hours later and again told them to take me off their call list. Then they called again today. This time I made my husband answer so he could tell them to stop calling. They immediately hung up. I don't know how to get them to stop calling. I feel like I am being harassed. I might try calling their headquarters next week. They have a website and it appears that legit companies are their clients, but who knows. If nonprofits that I have donated to in the past have given my number to this company, I think that is the last I will give to those nonprofits.

I have received several calls from "Share Group, Inc" using numbers 714.682.8336, 619.801.8130 & 562.223.8849. within the last week. I'm on the DNC list and I'm filing a complaint.

just answered a call from this number... caller id was Share Group Inc.
He was asking for donations for ACLU, American Civil Liberties Union.
I declined saying I would research issues on ACLU website and donate there if so inclined.
Is this Share Group Inc really collecting for ACLU or is it a scam?

What is interesting is that Share Group, Inc is located in MA and DC, but the calls originate from a Orange County, CA number.  Must have a call center there.  They have been calling me for several days, never leave a message.  Just called again two minutes ago.  Amazing.

Why does this continue to happen.  Phone number is no operational how can that be?

Been getting these calls forever so finally, my husband answered.  They were calling on behalf of a charity that he had donated to.  He said "quit calling my *&!% house every day."  But the DNC list doesn't matter since we willingly donated to this charity, and then that charity gave up our number.  Lesson here, don't put your phone number on anything (or put a fake number)!

This number has called my cell twice, no msgs. I called them back and msg said it was disconnected, they called just a minute before....spooky.

I get calls from this number almost every day in the evening (eastern time). When I pick up the phone, no one answers.

Someone from the Share Group Inc. with the number 714-682-8336 or 714-682-8327 calls our office every few days and asks to speak to the boss, an attorney.  I've asked, "What are you calling in reference to?"  The guy says, "I'm calling about an organization she belongs to."  When asked which organization, he repeated the same thing.  I didn't give the phone to the boss.  With this attitude, they will never get through to her.  Don't they know secretaries and receptionists never put a call through to a boss without proper identification????!!  They're jerks, plain and simple.

Warning:  telephone solicitors might be using other peoples' names and organization names to collect funds, but the funds are NOT going to whom you think.  I would be careful responding to these secretive callers who do not use a name nor leave a message.  It's a scam.  Mail solicitations, also, will ask you to send your donation to such and such an address, but when you look up the official website, that's not their address!  Then how do you know to whom you are giving?  Legitimate solicitors should keep this in mind.  I won't send money if the address doesn't match the website info.

They called me to give money to the ACLU, which I have done in the past.  I told them to never call me again...we'll se if this works.  They are a call-center that makes calls for non-profit groups.  It is the non-profit groups that give them your telephone number.

Received a call at 6:28 PM this evening and the telemarketer was raising funds for Wellstone Action.  I give once a year to this organization, but apparently they hired a telemarketer to phone me for additional support.  I told them I don't make any donation commitments via phone calls and that I support this cause with one annual donation.

They have called at least a half-dozen times in the past week or so, always mid- to late-afternoon eastern time.  Seems to be different numbers (and area codes) but all southern California and with the same caller ID.  We never answer and they don't leave a message.  Our number is registered with DNC.

yep, been getting these calls 12/26 and 12/27 of 2008 from this number.  they do not leave a message.

Share Group Inc. has called 9/19, 9/21, 9/22, 9/23, 9/25, 9/26, 9/27, 9/28, 9/29, and 10/03/08, each time with a different number.  Numbers shown were 562-223-8847, 619-801-8130, 619-801-8133, 619-801-8141, 626-273-8233, 626-273-8234, 714-682-8327, 714-682-8336, 714-682-8338, and 760-204-8453. They never leave a message.  Our number is registered with DNC.

Never ending harassment. Telespamming should be illegal.

Caller constantly calls me everyday on my cell phone. I don't pick-up because it's an unknown number. Pretty sure it's a spam company and my number is on the National Do Not Call List...

We got a call from this number.  They asked if my wife was there.  When I said that she was not home, the caller hung up very abruptly
