Well, spoofed or not, I reported the three calls I received from this number to the FTC and listed Evergreen Garage Doors as the calling company, since they are the registered legitimate user of this number.
If the number has been spoofed, then their Telco's records of their outgoing calls can prove their innocence.
I'm not going to call the number back and ask (politely or not) if they had called me.  I should not have been called in the first place, as I have been on the Do Not Call List for several years.
Legitimate companies follow the DNC regulations and will not call me, and since no company that I have an "established business relationship" with has this particular number, any call I receive has to be a non-legitimate call and will be reported.

I called this number back and got a Verizon message, so maybe this is just a telemarketing company that is hired by the likes of Verizon, Evergreen Garage Door and Vitelity to do this scutwork.

call records said "Vitelity, LLC."

looked them up     http://www.vitelity.com/headquarters/     & right there it gives a form to report abuse. my guess is they are victims too.

evergreen garage door may be as well.  someone spoofed their number & the other companies name.  probably doing the same in reverse as well.

I get 2 to 3 calls a day.  No message ever left.  Added to my block numbers on my phone.

They call every day now and don't leave a message. Hate it.

Caller ID says Vitelity, LLC No clue who they are. I'm pretty sure its a scam telemarketer. I'm on the Do Not Call registry. They don't care and I will Never answer a-holes so Stop Calling.

Well we'll sure try by reporting this company to the FTC for DNC violations.

I got a hangup call at 12:05 pm on Nov 22 and will be reporting it.

I want to remove my number from their data base.

Keep getting this call to my home and they do not leave message, we are getting calls from this number at least 2 times a week at different hours.
If you call back the number is not in service.

Called my home phone 5:30 pm. CID said V11420125300349. I pressed button to answer but said nothing. Could hear telemarketers or talking in background. Hispanic male voice was waiting for me to answer and when I didn't he said "hello"? I remained silent and then hung up.

This man keeps calling and it is BS- It comes up Evergreen Garage Door- I just answer it and I hear a quick-Hello" then I  quickly put them on mute and then keep him on until he hangs up-

Call from this number on my land line. When I call back, the line is not in service.

Calls me every day.  It's got a North Orange County CA area code, telling me they've helped many in my area (LA County) reduce electric bills with solar.  I've told each caller that I'm on the DNC list and that I'm not interested.  They keep calling

Smart Energy "ADVOCATES" this time.... this is now the 3rd or 4th spoofed # they have called me from. Unfortunately for me I am expecting a call from an Insurance company in the 714 area code, so I answered it :(  

J2 Global Communications and Vitelity keep calling..  number 714-783-2284.  Don't leave messages.  Obviously unprofessional and trying to scam innocent people.  

NEVER answer a phone call (mobile or land line) from a number you do not recognize- if it's important- the CALLER will leave a message. These SCAMMER/SCUMBAGS WILL NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE

Just another solar energy scam. Number blocked.

The phone screen displayed VITELITY LLC and this number. I let it go to answer but no message was left. Now blocked through *60.

This may be a spoofed number. Based on a Google lookup, Vitelity is a VOIP company out of Denver. I doubt they have anything to do with magazine subscriptions (of which I have none, by the way).

These cowards call, and call but do not leave a message, when you call back, the line is not in service. Get a REAL job like the rest of US!

Another scumbag telemarketer.

I'm getting calls form this number 2 to 3 times every day, and when I answer there's no one there. I call the number back  and get the message that this number is not in service.  Very frustrating.

Just got a call from this number, didn't answer.  Called back and blocked my number but nothing rings...just dead silence then fast busy.  Don't know if this a magazine company as people mentioned or another energy scammer that's calling.  I get A LOT of energy scammers - 4-5 per day from different numbers.

I got the same thing!  I do not understand why so many numbers give 'out of service' messages when I just received a call from that number????

7-25-2013 UPLAND, CALIFORNIA .  Shows up on caller ID as Unknown Name 714-783-2284.  They hang up when answering machine comes on.  Have called  many times before.

Another clear violator of the "Do Not Call List"  I never answer.
