Got a call form this number 714-835-7840 today at 4:30 PM. Answered the call and there was a woman on the other line. She was requesting to speak to Eyson. Or something like that. I told her you got the wrong number and hung up. Then she called a few seconds later, but I didn't pick up. I already told her she reached a wrong number, but she still called again. Thanks for your comments. I think this is a scammer. So beware and make sure you're not giving anything personal.

I live in SJC, & called my local WIC office. they reported it was not a # with which they were familiar.
&, when i return the call i get, "your call cannot be completed, please check #, & call again" message.

Automated call that wasn't routed to a live person when it connected to my answering machine.  Mostly 'music' (sounded like reggae/steel drums at a distance through fog), but also a man talking on another line.

We don't live in Orange County, never applied for any kind of assistance, none of the other cases cited above would ever apply to us. Did not leave a message. Caller ID is "TEPA INS SERV"

They called several times, but did not leave messages. However, when I call back it just gives me a busy signal.

I had a call to.  It was the Orange County Treasurer-Tax Collector.  I had just made a late payment for my dogs licensing.  The guy typed my credit card number incorrectly and called me back from this number to get the correct information to process my dog licensing payment.

This number probably covers many Orange County State run departments.  Late dog licensing/registration is probably just one of many areas they want to collect debts for.

That's funny, because they left a message saying they were with the Department of Child Support Services. How can they not be calling from this number?

this number is just the local WIC office calling to remind you that you have an appoitment. it is NOT the child support office people!

It is a general call out number for Orange County Health Care Agency under which many county agencies operate, including behavioral health services, corrections dept etc. Many of the above answers pertain to the particular person answering but the number covers a broader range of departments than people mentioned above. Look up the larger agency on their website and you may be able to figure out the sub agency that's calling you.

This number is also used by orange county probation

I always get calls from this number. It's is the OC health department. They call me to set up appointments with a public health nurse since I have a premature child and they come and check on her often. I am able to call the number back without a problem.

I received  a number of calls from this number 7148357840 and called back but the phone is always busied.
The callls are made on weekdays i.e. Friday at noon and also on Saturday early in the morning at 8.12 AM and even on Sunday at noon around 140pm and 2.09pm. If this is from the Orange county healthy department or WIC or case worker then do they work on Saturday and Sunday afternoon?
I do not know who is the caller is?

I recently recieved a phone call from this number as well. Never left a message, a name, or a contact number. I tried calling the number on the caller ID and oh and behold, it wont let you dial in. I attempted to call 714-834-7991 but that was no help either. Oh well.

Yep, weird.  Got a call from a lady about sculpture she had seen at an art show.  Called back after being cut off driving in the hills, could not get an answer, just the recording that the call could not be completed.  I don't know who the person is, just hope she calls back if it is legitimate, need the business!!!!

It is for WIC Appointments. I got a called and they left a message regarding a WIC appointment that is coming up.

This number is from the Orange County Health Dept. They can call out but you can't call in from this number. They cannot leave messages on your phone so if you let it default to voicemail, they will not leave a message. Simply call 714-834-7991 give your name, let them know you received a missed call, and they'll inform you......its NOT A COLLECTION CALL:)...usually a lady named Mercedes will leave the message.

Did any of you  apply for Food Stamps? I have a feeling that its a case worker calling regarding that. I tried calling back and couldnt get through
