early this morning someone banged on my door.... It was way too early and I wasn't expecting anyone... so of course I didn't answer.......some guy left a note with his number (signed Andrew)/// I don't know this man, so I called the police... Advised if he returns to call them asap...who is he? what does he want? why would he leave a note with a smiley face as if he knows me? I go through great lengths to keep my identity hidden due to identity theft and a cyber stalker....I'm def concerned....(I have "no trespassing "signs on window and porch)... pretty brazen of him to knock esp if he was up to no good...

Got a message at my brother's phone number saying that he knows me and his name is Andrew. Unfortunately, my brother gave him my cell phone but as of now no call yet. By the looks of things it seems like he's not after anything legit.

Not a bill collector or whatever.  Actually seemed like a decent guy, goews by Andrew.

I spoke to the guy recently.  He has follow up called me as well.  On first contact he was evasive with a different family member and only left a message. When I called him back I was on the defense but since a giant slew of unsavory characters with information on us have been coming around ultimately Andrew was at least articulate enough to have an intelligent conversation with.   I gave him more info on myself than I probably should have but so far he seems ok.  

I don't know what he can do for us in our situation so far, but he seemed professional enough once he took the time to explain some sort of rational intent on the first phone call.   He stated he seeks to help homeowners in many ways; that sometimes he can act as an investor for some properties and also that he seeks to make sure people just have information and aren't being mislead by lenders.  

With the rash of mistreatments some lenders have been making (from experience) his timing in calling our house was fortunate for his purpose as I was already outraged enough and informed enough on my own situation so receptive to the idea he is just out to help.

As a whole I do hope he is out there sincerely helping people in jams, because few people really are.

Ok, for all of you whiners that have not talked to Andrew. Shut up. I did receive the post it on my door, and got the phone call and talked to him. He is a good guy, I have been working on my loan mod for 2 years and was always on the foreclosure list. Once I explained this to him he stopped contacting me. But, when I had a friend get into trouble I gave him Andrew's phone and Andrew helped him.
So I personally know how painful it is when you house has been placed in foreclosure but burying you head in the sand doesn't do any good.
When Andrew calls, answer. Then ask for his help or ask him to leave you alone and he will honor it.
So best of luck on you home issues, it was a bear but I did finally get the Loan Mod done and accepted but not without a lot of sleepless nights.

This guy is an annoying you know what.  Please be aware that if he starts calling you, do not completely ignore is phone calls, because he will come by your house AND start talking to your neighbors to find out information about you.

Received a call from Guy Named Andrew want to talk to me, he did not want to mention his company or from where he is calling from or who represent, no idea how in the hell he got my work number.

Your intentions may be good, wanting to assist people out of a difficult position, but your methods, to me, border on harrassment.  I think it is VERY inappropriate for you to go by someone's house AND speak to his or her neighbors.  And I am speaking personally, as a person to whom you have done this.  I find it a violation of my privacy and I am right with the individual who did file or seriously considered filing a police report.

To anyone receiving telephone calls from this individual, he will come by your house and he will speak with your neighbors (unless for some reason he has an epiphany and changes his ways, which I doubt).  So take necessary precautions if you don't want this to happen.

Unfortunately, since you didn't just contact me instead of posting anonymously to a website I don't know who you are and there's a decent chance that I will call or stop by again.  All you have to do is make a 1 minute call - there are so many people who are appreciative of my help that I won't spend time with those who aren't or truly don't need it.

As for me supposedly telling the neighbor "we go way back," that makes no sense.  First, lying to them would be wrong.  Second, if I'm asking them to help me contact you, why would I tell them something that you would obviously know is false as soon as they repeat it?  I am vague, however, when I talk to them since I don't feel it is right to let them know you are in foreclosure.

If filing police reports makes you feel better, than feel free.  However, you are going to have to file a LOT of them to cover everyone who calls, stops by, or talks to a neighbor by the time your issue is solved.  The only way to put an end to that is to solve your real problem, so if you don't like me than call someone else who can help:

Got a call from this person trying to get in contact with my neighbor. However, my neighbor doesn't even know him nor does she meet his description. Very strange. Don't know how he got my number as it is not a listed number.

I didn't get a call. He showed up at my door and left a note--also quizzed my neighbors saying "we go way back". They, thankfully, were suspicious and played dumb. I have filed a police report.

Why do you assume he's a fraud?  Have you spoken to him?

this person came to my door in his note left on my door he said his wife and him were trying to reach me and to call him. his # 714 873-6426 andrew. i dont know who it was but he must not have all the info the home is in my wifes trust the way he claims his wife and him have been trying to reach me is not a truthful statement there fore not to trust him!

Caller says name is Andrew - he solicits private information regarding foreclosures - but already has the information. He wants you to verify it so he can help you - he also goes to the neighborhood of the dwelling and solicits private information from the neighbors.
