DO YOU GET CALLS FROM UCI?

CALLED MY CELL AT 10:23 AM ON MARCH 3.  LEFT NO VOICE-MAIL.  I CALLED BACK AND RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE "TEST ANNOUNCEMENT ONE, TEST NUMBER 1012"

Who the heck is this. My wife answered and a female asked if it was the Anaheim Police Department

Its not a phone assigned to a specific department. All outgoing calls from the medical center no matter what department or which building (they have several) will have the 714 923 1480 number as the ID. Most likely its for an appointment

I get a young guys voice saying - "Test announcement ONE - Test number #1012"
and that's it... The call does not go to VM, it just ends after a few seconds. Very weird.

2 calls yesterday during business hours; first was a male asking for "Reuben" (sounding stoned or senile) and 15 minutes later from a female asking if "this [was] Reuben's house?"  I said there was no Reuben at this number, that she had the wrong number. She then handed the phone to the same male.

Called again that night between 8 and 8:30pm (I didn't answer); no voicemail.  

Male called again this morning asking "Is Reuben there?" I informed him (again) this was not Reuben's number--that perhaps he should stop calling this number or check the area code.  

Unfortunate that smoking weed doesn't completely impair one's ability to use a phone.

I received a call from this number today, 8/19/08 at 5:17pm.  No message.

Got a call today at 239pm

I have received legitimate calls from the UCI Medical Center at 714-923-1490

Phone Calls me up to 20 times per day, per cell phone provider nothing I can do about it.  When I return the call it has a home made message about the number being disconnected.

Received a call on my cell phone from this number.  Did not pick up the phone, and no voicemail was left.

paged me and called back and says disconnected but sounds home made.
