These ___holes called the Call Center at my work and told them they were trying to serve me with papers and how could they go about getting in touch with me. My Call Center noticed it was a blocked number and wouldn't put the phone call into me, but told me about it. It was very embarrassing and ILLEGAL! I did contact the FTC about them.

You don't fool anyone, first off you morons must not realize that some of the people you contact are members of law enforcement or employed in the LEGAL field and can smell your BS from miles away.

Call came in to call John Wilson, say they were  PRIVATE PROCESSOR, the young lady on the phone started out with a 888 number then changed it to 714-982-9755, saying they tried to contact me in March but that I did not respond, serving court papers and gave a document number. This was a land line number from Placentia, California.......seriously these people need to stop their crap.

I got a call from this number today at work, but they wouldn't leave a message on my v/m, but told the receptionist they were with Legal Services. If it's that important, leave me a message.

I asked them what court they are filing paper in and he told me to figure it out myself, this was after I refused to settle with them and I wanted to appear.

Aren't these tactics illegal?

i read several comments and decided they were full of it and didnt pursue and now i get a notice from payroll yesterday that my wages are now going to be garnished.I knew right away from who and i got my wife to listen to old voice message and give me their number i called and they said it was too late.The crap thing about it is, is that i listen to all the it is a scam and they cant do this non sense and well they did and now im paying $1123.24 extra because i have to pay for their attorney to sue ME over a credit card from 2008.Im in Arizona so i guess it is legal to garnish wages once they get the ok from the judgement but i didnt show up to court so i lost had i gone i may have been able to offer a deal.Anyhow you cant always believe what people write on internet.And this time i wish i had not

Legit collectors per section 809 of the FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf *must* tell you at initial contact, or send you paperwork within 5 days of initial contact, the following:
1. $amount of debt,
2. name of the current creditor (which may differ from the original creditor who might have sold your debt),
3. a statement that that debt will be assumed to be valid unless you dispute in writing within 30 days,
4. a statement that that if you do dispute in writing within 30 days, the collector must mail you written verification of the debt,
5. a statement that if you ask the collector in writing within 30 days, the collector must send you the name and address of the original creditor if it's different from the current creditor.
If you don't get the 5 disclosures, orally or in writing (you do not have to ask for it, the FDCPA requires it), treat the collector like you would any SCAMMER. Scammers are using bought/hacked loan application data to extort payments for fictitious debts from victims and victims' families and friends.

yep they called my mom today who lives three hundred miles away, she thot I was in all kinds of trouble and said to call Michael Faylen or Saylen at 7149829755, he is a lawyer and he left a case number, which is bogus.  just an old debt collector who bought out some old debts and using questionable means to find you by calling former employees and family members.  they need to be taken down because most of these posts here are recent.

They contacted me a second time.  They called my job on Friday (4/22) and again threatened something about serving a summons, like they did when they called about a month ago.  They asked to speak directly with my supervisor. It's been over a month since they first contacted me and I have yet to get served or receive something in writing.  I have filed a complaint with the FTC regarding both phone calls.  They have violated several laws when it comes to fair debt collecting practices.  They also called me from 888-438-0878.

Same thing someone called me stating they were trying to serve me papers for a Civil Suit and needed to reschedule and to call Gary Stevens at 7149829755.  So I did got transfered to some womans voicemail.  So I called back and got a some lady who gave me the same song and dance.  Told her I was going to find out if I had a civil suit pending if not I was going to sue them.  She then tried to get off the phone with me.  I told her the only person that better serve me is a sheriff deputy.  You are right them seems so illegal.

These people called for my mom yesterday stating she needed to call 7149829755 and speak to Gary Stevens because they were about to get her for failure to appear. She is out of town so I let her know. She called them and said it was NO attorney's office like they said and they were very unprofessional!

I got a call today from the same number leaving a message to contact Michael Falyn over with Klein and Associates the number to call was 714- 982-9755.  They even left a case number and that they ned to summons me.. I assume this is a scam from a debt collector........

Yup same thing here!  Real smooth talker, but real threatening.  I need to serve you with a court order to appear!  Same #, same lawyer's name.

I have gotten the same run around..  Scared me to death but as I listened to the voice mail, from my cell phone might I add, the guy on the other line stumbled over his words so many times I knew something wasn't right.  Then, yesterday another one of these companies going under a different name called my husbands job and gave the office girls a hard time wanting information.  I am wondering how we both got targeted on this.  Funny how they had a court summons for failure to appear when they are on the other side of the country!  The number also came to my phone as restricted.

they called me today at 332pm eastern time with a blocked number.I hope you are reading these kline and associates because i work for the local sheriffs department.one it is illegal to block your number if your collecting a debt.two it is illegal for you to leave voicemail on business registered phones which you did today(and leave the type of information you did to one of my employees) on one of my company phones.three it is illegal to thraten some one with arrest when you are not authorized to do so.if you are going to issue a summons in my area sorry about your luck but they go thru my office.we do not set up appointments on someone having to be their to get a summons(we may call or leave a letter )stating we have tried several times but in our state if a summons cannot be delivered to a individual within 120days we may dismiss the whole case.i have a suggestion for you try sending a letter about the debt instead of illegal phone call.I hope you keep track of who you called and the times because i have already given all of your information and a copy of the voicemail and the time it came in with the blocked number to one of our local attornies and they will be contacting you soon for legal action against your company for illegal means to collect a debt,thank you have a nice day!!!

I got a call from a "process server" stating several attempts to serve me a summons were returned and they were about to serve me at work. The lady with the info gave me a case # and everything. I called "Klein & Associates" and they pulled the same game with me-I don't have a civil suit pending....that should be federally illegal!

Yes I  got a call from them today also..  I do  understand that I may have old bills unpaid.. but dam!!!   do they have to go to this extent..  After carefully reading the comments I called back and it said  Kline and Associate I hung up the phone!!!   What some crap.. I just started taking my high blood medicine.. what a way to run it up!!!  My gosh!!!

They called me and left a voicemail. Said they were calling as a Legal process server and they would be delivering a summons to my home between 8am-5pm. They just wanted to make sure someone was home. Also stated that i didn't want to get a failure to appear....They have tried this before. I explained to the guy that I would NOT be getting a summons from FL (as thats where they said they were from). Summons are ordered within the respect states of the offender. I asked him if he knew where I was located, he stated no but told me he is just calling as a appointment setter for the attorney. I said "No thanks" and hung up. DO not fall for them...They are collecting on old debts but using highly illegal means in which to do it.

These people called me today stating the same thing. That is such illegal BS to be able to call and panic people for stupid crap. I did look up the case # as well and it was no where in the Las Vegas system. They are big liars!

I cal a call from them today saying that I needed to reschedule to avoid being served a summons for falure to appear which that is bogus however the debt was real. I dont know how I managed to overlook this for so long but needless to say the woman who helped me was very nice and willing to work with me to find a suitable resolution for both ends.

Called my house earlier today. Caller ID said Blocked Number. Gave me the name C. Jared Dixon. Said they had been trying to serve my daughter a court summons, and that she needed to call them asap ...gave me this number 714-982-9755 for her to call regarding the court summons. Glad I checked this out as I thought it was strange because it came in as a blocked number. If it was legit, why block the number?

I got a call from them today. Said they were Legal Support and that I needed to get in touch with Klein & Associates within the next hour for failure to appear in court. Gave me a case number and everything but when I check with the courts, that case number doesn't even exist! I can't believe they are able to get away with this crap! Don't answer your phone for these people!

Yeah I got a call from this number today. They said they have been trying to serve me and were process servers? They claimed it is from a debt and I have a failure to appear for it. Funny thing is that I called the courts and I have never had a failure to appear so? I think they are just debt collectors who lie and impersinate lawyers and process servers to get you to pay a debt. How stupid, it sounds illegal!! They told me they were "Legal Support Services" at this same number.

It seems to be a debt collector with a legal department that seems to disguise itself as an attorney's office.  Threatening to take someone's car or place a lien on their on home over a debt roughly in the amount of $1,600.

The number appears to be used by "KLINE & ASSOCIATES" .
