Just received the recorded message concerning my credit card interest rates.

How do I get this machines to quit calling me. I have been trying to get them to quit calling me for two years. Yes, I am on the no call list. Keeps saying they represent credit card companies,,,,Help!

I'm with angeleyes, we live in an age where people, in this country, have no problem handing their confidential medical information to an overreaching government.  Why would we think that these harassing phone calls will end?  If you pick up and "play" with these people or press their fictitious number to remove you from the call list, we will forever get these calls, because they love getting a rise out of us.  Like everyone else, the caller ID read "Wisconson Call" (how ridiculous).  I did not answer (I never do) and no message was left.  Time of call:  today, 11:38AM.

Caller ID spoofed, said "WISCONSON CALL"  Pre-recorded announcement said "This is Scott at Account Services"  Claimed to be "non-profit agency" to reduce credit card dept.  I clicked 1 to be connected.  "Dana" told me the company was called "Consumer Rewards".  When I insisted on a call-back number, she disconnected me.

Reported.  Also reported to my state attorney general.

This number calls in the morning and in the evening with no one on line. Just love dead beat telemarketers.

These idiots must get enough stupid people giving them their credit card numbers to make it worth their while.  Why they keep harassing people who clearly say NO and take us off their list, is beyond me.  It's a waste of their time.  Are they that stupid that they think anyone who says they don't want the calls and they aren't interested is going to change their mind after being harassed by these scum of the earth?

They are giving you false information, you can bet on it.  They are most likely out of the country.  I got a call from them today with the same spelling of Wisconsin.  Sure sign they are foreigners that can't spell.  They have harassed me too for two years.  I made the mistake in the beginning to press 1 to get an agent. I also pressed the other number to remove my number.  They would hang up before I could get the whole sentence out that I am on the no call list and to remove my number.  It only verified to them that there is a live person at my number.  Don't press those buttons!  The calls got worse!  It's phone harassment.  If someone says stop calling and they don't, it's harassment.  The phone companies used to take it very seriously and disconnect numbers who were harassing people.  Maybe they even had them arrested.  Now the phone carriers don't care and they don't do a thing except offer to change your number, or charge you to have it unpublished.  The do not call list doesn't work. It just gives a lot of people jobs, but the calls to my cell and land phone have increased in the last 2 years to the point of insanity!  Do not respond to them or answer at all.  They will sell your number to every telemarketing company they can if they get a live number.  I had to turn off the ringer on my phone and put a very long voicemail message on it. IfI see the phone flashing I check VM, otherwise, I am at peace in my home finally!

I got two phone call from this company today. Here's the trick I've started using to get a bit of info:

I press 1 to get an agent. Agent answers and I tell them my name and that yes, I do owe more then $x,xxx.xx in debt on my credit cards, and I'm so happy they've called. I'm having a real debt problem and I would like to do a bit more research on the subject before I make a decision on how to handle my huge debt problem. I then ask what the name of the company is they work for, and where it's located. I then ask for that person's name. I would also ask for a phone number where you could call them back, but this is a detail I've forgotten (I'm still honing this technique). Once you have all this info, say this: "Thanks for the info. I will now inform you that the number you called it on the do not call registry, and I will be filing a complaint with the FTC with your name on it. Goodbye", then hang up. I've been getting these calls for months, and I've tried everything from getting my number removed the proper way through their automated system, asking them personally to remove my number, asking to talk to a supervisor, or whatever. I've even gone as far as degrading the person on the phone, telling them they should take a gun and shoot themselves in the head because of what they're doing. None of it works, but if you can act like the nicest person in the world to get some info out of them, then use that info to file a complaint, we might be able to get somewhere and shut these companies down!
