got a call from this phone number, told me he was holding a parcel from FedEx with a check inside..called back and got voicemail...did not leave message, if Fed Ex has something for you they leave you an "800" number to call with a tracking number.....don't fall for this.....i'd like to know how they got my number, he tried to say my name and screwed it up so bad.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone yesterday.  Could hardly understand the person leaving the message, they couldn't even pronounce my last name.  They were stating they were Federal Express and they had a check they were holding for me.  As the last post stated, I'm sure if this was fed ex they would leave a 800 # me to return their call.

A guy with a heavy accent named "James Hollywood" left me a voicemail.  He said I won $35,000 in the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes (which is interesting because I never entered to win) and that I should call the number above to claim the prize.  What a clown.  Where do these people come from? I'm going to call back and tell them to send me the money first -- and then I'll send them a check, NOT.  :)

Recieved a call from 716-240-6601. Stated I had won $750,000 just had to pay insurance and to release the check. Its a scam dont send them any money.

My aunt recieved a call on March 5, 2010.  She is 84 years old.  She received the same call as Ruthie. The caller said they were from Bank of America in Buffalo. My aunt was told to also go to Western Union with $235.89 in cash and make out a check payable to Rosemarie Dunn in West Hanover, Jamaica WI .  She figured this was scam and asked me to check it out.  Thanks to all of you for your postings.

ITS A SCAM! DO NOT CALL!

On January 12, 2010 received call from Tricia Johnson, Associate with the Bank of America stating I had won $750,00 and I needed to go to the Western Union with $305.00 in cash make it out to Torrel Brown, West Hanover, Jamaica WI (Western International) and a check would be delivered to me at 2:00 p.m. and to present them with the receipt.  I knew this was a scam and was not sucked into it.  She also wanted to verify that I was a senior citizen and if I had a savings and checking account.  Again, this is a scam.
