I recvd a call today saying I was a cosigned on my brothers loan. I have never co signed a loan i my life so didnt call them back.They claim to Legal outsourcing.

First, Jackson Hewitt is for taxes.  They only give you money if you have a refund so it is a little difficult to understand why they would use that name. If they say they are an attorney get the name of the law firm they are with. It looks like the guy is using the name Jonathan Daniels. You can look that name up to see if he is an attorney. The phone number 716-247-5598 is out of New York, Buffalo, Niagria Falls area. This is a cell phone, I don't know too many attorney's offices that use a cell to call a client from the office.  I looked up Jonathan Daniels Attorney at Law and it did come up as an attorney, but out of Florida:Mr. Jonathan Daniels Lawrence Bar Card Number: 24079966Work Address: 9200 S Dadeland Blvd., Ste 509 Miami, FL 33156 Work Phone Number: 305-670-3838Primary Practice Location: Miami , Florida but is only listed to practice law in Texas. So DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.  ALWAYS REMEMBER, IF THEY ARE GOING TO SERVE YOU TO APPEAR IN COURT, THEY WILL NOT CALL YOU FIRST, THEY WILL JUST SHOW UP AT YOUR DOOR WITH THE PAPERS.  I got a call today from this number threatening me that they are going to show up at work, they at home, oh yea and the best part is they are going to arrest me. Of course when I check to see if anything is filed, there is nothing there.

They called my father yesterday and it was from a Florida phone number. Apparently they are using some random number thing or whatever. If you ask for their information or address thy get very defensive. All they ever say is they are a legal department of a business.

I had the same guy call my work and tell my boss I owed some debt and I was being sued if I didn't comply. They also left me a message for someone else and ended up saying part of their social!! I asked for proof that I owed them and they sent me a typed up letter saying of agreed to pay them and that was it. With a company name at the top. I contacted the FTC and that company responded saying they didn't have anybody by that name. When I brought up the harassment they always just say they are in their rights. I think this is a scam but the problem is they keep calling my work. Could lose my job over this.

Okay me and my fiancé applied for one of their loans but never confirmed any loan. They say he owes 1300 but there is no deposit from this company on any of our bank statements. Same bank and same account that they claim I tent in. I wish they would sue than we will file a counter suit... For harassment !!!!

Got a phone call stating I had a claim against me for a loan with soverign bank(which I didnt take out) for 5000 dollars, and threatened that they were filing a civil suit tommorrow in my counties civil court. They said my actual loan was only for 705 dollars , and I could stop this..he knew my checking account number and ss number....scary...stated his name was anthony james and was a legal mediator

Really Harley? Do you know CC? No where does it state that they were not going to pay any debt that may or may not be owed. It simply reports the deceptive practices of the debt collector. Period.

I received a call from this number at my job. When I didn't answer he told the operator he needed to serve me with papers. I took the call and he claimed to be a process server with the county and he was scheduled to come out to my job today to serve me with papers. I could call this number and get the process stopped. His name is George Lansing and I tried to get him to confirm he was with the constables office. He said he was with the Dallas County Constables Office. He got a little defensive with me. I hung up and immediately called the Dallas County Constable and there were no papers needing to be served and they took the information and are going to give this man a nice little phone call.

I recieved the exact call from Johnaton Daniels, stating he has my papers to serve.  He has my work address and home address. He left a case number on the voice mail. I have been harrassed by these people for the past three years.

Johnathan Daniels claiming to be from some legal office and also claiming that I owe a payday loan balance. I'm sure these people have hacked into online payday loan applications somehow and are trying to make money by scaring the unsuspecting into paying money they do not owe under the threat of a lawsuit.

Unless you owe money, it's likely an extortion scam. The FBI says they get your SSN, DOB, etc. from stolen/hacked/phished loan applications. Ever applied for a payday loan on the internet?

I got a phone call at my work from a guy name jonathan daniels claiming he had papers to serve he had a case number and said he had my D.L. number and S.S.S. number ..

this number is arrasing my family, stating they are serving warrants if i dont pay, for a loan.

Received a called from a person name Johnathan Daniels, stating he has my papers to serve. He has my work address, home address and my driver license to be link or tie. This person also provided a case # when they left a voice message.

This guy is quite annoying and rude. I have told him that he has the wrong phone number and to please stop calling, but all he replies with is "I'll just call back untill I reach Guadalupe"... What a P.O.S... get a real job!!!

I received a call from this guy pretending to be a attorney collecting money on behave of Jackson Hewitt and I have paid them money and I feel dumb but now that I know it's a scam I won't be answering my phone again!!

I have been receiving calls from a gentleman by the name of Chase Johnson. He claims to be from Jackson Hewitt for Iadvance and if I don't pay right now a lawsuit will be filled. I made the accident of giving him my cc info then my gut told me it was a scam so I cancelled my card. And he has been calling almost everyday. I googled the number above and it looks to be a cell phone in a residential area.  Be careful because it is a scam.

Claims to be a Attorneys Office calling to collect on behalf of Jackson Hewitt "Tax Refund Loans". If unable to pay "RIGHT NOW" A lawsuit will be filled.
