I RECEIVED CALLS FROM THAT NUMBER AS WELL AND THEY THREATENED THE SAME THINGS.  THEY ALSO IMPERSONATED THEMSELVES AS AN INVESTIGATOR WITH THE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFCE.  I CALLED THE SHERIFFS OFFICE TO SPEAK TO THE PERSON WHO CALLED, THEY DID NOT HAVE ANYONE BY THE NAME THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME.  I EXPLAINED THE SITUATION.  THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE STATED THAT IT WAS UNLAWFUL TO IMPERONATE A STATE/FEDERAL AND/OR GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL AND IF I WAS TO RECEIVE THE CALL AGAIN TO GET AS MUCH INFORMATION AND REPORT IT TO THEIR OFFICE.

This is not a real company - they change their name to avoid being found. They also change their phone numbers, and also Spoof numbers on your caller ID. The one making the rounds now is 716-362-8951, but we have had 716-748-6948 APEX HOLDINGS as well. if you check yellow pages the number comes back as  Meadows Apartments
1527 Jefferson Ave Buffalo NY 14208. either way its spoofed. These guys are Real Low Life. Here's the lay of the land as they say, I work for the judicial system so I will go thru this for all of you .

First they are calling because they say they can not find you. This is pure bull as the sheriff, will NEVER, EVER call you to tell you they are coming. They LIVE to work on the element of surprise. Plus if your township, county etc, wants you, they already know where you are, so sit tight.

Second, and most important, NEVER CALL these low life bottom feeders back.  Because truth be known they don't care who they talk to as long as they can get money FROM SOMEONE. Did you all get that, they DONT CARE if  it is the right person!!  If you call them back then they know that they have a real tangible working phone number that they can call to harass you -- all the time of day and night.  Just ignore the call, or better yet, tag them as a spam call in your phone, and you'll never even see them ring it.

Third, these people function and live on the *Fear factor* they will say anything,  tell you anything to get you to give them the money thru your checking account, debit card or credit card.  Many people get scammed this way. I've heard : coming to your workplace to arrest you, serving you in the morning if you don't call by a certain time, attaching your salary, etc, etc, THIS IS ALL NOTHING BUT BULL!

Fourth, in most states payday loans are ILLEGAL as they charge obnoxious interest, and states are trying desperately to control that.  Since I'm not sure of what state anyone is in, I cannot name them all here, but if you go to your states attorney general page, you should be able to look up the laws.

Fifth, I know it sounds nice to send them a letter or report them, but this is a futile. They have got this to a science.  With all that is going on in the court systems they know they have time on their side.  Not enough of these low life bottom feeders get caught and prosecuted, if they did...they wouldn't still be in business, but they are, THOUSANDS OF THEM!

Lastly, anyone who posts that you are scum or a deadbeat PAY YOUR BILLS , OR OMG  they came to my place of work and arrested me, are full of crap and are just trying to SCARE you, SEE MY THIRD NOTE Above, Fear factor.

Best thing to do in this case, especially with these people is TO IGNORE. Eventually when no one engages with them they will go away to torment someone else. FEEL FREE TO COPY AND PASTE THIS ON ANY AREA, WHERE THESE LOW LIFES ARE NOTED.  THE MORE INFORMED WE THE LESS THEY ARE ABLE TO SCAM US!

Hope this helps you all out.

This is a total scam.  I have contacted the BBB regarding National Credit Services LLC.  The BBB in turn contacted National Credit Adjusters Inc., and on their website you will see where they refer to this Richard Andrews of National Credit Services LLC.  They believe this is not a legitimate company, and I believe them.  So, contact the BBB and report this guy, and we'll all band together to get rid of this jerk.

Maybe, maybe not!  As a rule, they only seem to get the last 4. But one important thing to remember if these losers have any of your personal information such as your social security number, date of birth or drivers license make sure you register with identity protection notify the credit agencies as well as your banks!!

Called and press 1, got a young sounding kid, he said wanted to collect on credit card debt from 1999, he knew my name, my old company name and the last 4 digits of my social. he said the debt was written off in 99 wanting to collect, i told him he was a vulture and by florida law after 4 years of inactivity it is declared null and void, he then  hung up. How did he get this info? Especially the last 4 of my social, does he have the rest?

He's full of it.  I suspect he was from a collection agency but under Federal Law (FDCPA) they can and are required to identify who they are, who they are calling from, who they are calling for and that this is an attempt to collect a debt but nothing more until they verify the party they are speaking to is the actual person they are trying to contact.  If they claim that the law prevents them from identifying who they are and who they are calling from tell them they need to hire a real lawyer who understands the law and can give them proper guidance.

Like the posts before my caller ID showed Buffalo NY. I answered the second time. Pressed 1 as instructed and got a slightly haughty tone from the live person wanting my phone number and name and address. I asked him to identify his company and the nature of the call. He said he was unable to do that until I gave him my info. I said call me back when you get your stuff together and we can do business if legit, See Ya!

Thanks for this information. I figured that what they were because when I called back to ask for the name of the company. It was a landline and when I looked online just investigating further I have confirmed what was stated earlier that this is a call from someone at 1490 Meadows Apartments in Buffalo, NY. I had this happen to me last year and the people where fake debt collectors calling from Buffalo, NY. I reported it to the Attorney General. I am about to do the same for this number. Thanks for the heads up!

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

When these people call you they don't give the name of the business but it is a debt collector for many different companies and they will threaten you with a judgement in a court of law.  They are in Buffalo, NY.  If you call them, they answer the phone with a "Hello" and will NOT tell you who they are.
