have received THREE calls from this number and haven't not been around to answer the call yet, but when i call back, Verizon number is disconnected.

I applied for a job on the internet to be a process server.. A guy just called me from this number and said received my application and will be in touch. I just looked up the number and it obviously is a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Called and tried to sell me magazines. I dunno how he got my name/number. He called my cell phone.

I also got two calls from this number last night (6:58p/6:59p) and when I tried calling back I got a message stating that the Verizon Wireless number was disconnected or no longer in service.

Anyone knows what's going on?????

calls from this number and when call back the phone company says this number is unavailable and not in service.believe to be a prank.dont know anyone in New York

REPORT THESE DPS in UTAH CALLS TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE and your PHONE COMPANY! PLEASE READ THIS MESSAGE!  Since I only got this cell number recently, I have only given it to certain people. I ditched my land line, though, so when I have ordered things from the Internet, this is the number I give.

Yesterday, I received a call at 10:18am from (716) 392-7132 (KEEP reading...this pertains to the (267)392-7132 number). When I answered it, the man asked for me by name, and I said "yes?". He said he was calling from DPS in UTAH, and that my name was selected to be in the running for $25,000 cash or a new Ford Mustang. He was speaking fast. He then asked if I still had my Visa and MasterCards, which I STUPIDLY replied "yes", then he continued to say that all I had to do was to answer a few survey questions. He continued with "Are you single, married, divorced" and then the line went dead.

I had the worst feeling about this, because:
1. He called me by name
2. He had a number that few people had, and the only other ones that had it were business on line that I had placed orders with
3. He asked about Visa and MasterCard

I immediately called the number back to see who would answer, and got the "Number is out of service, disconnected, etc..." message. They just called me and the following second it was disconnected??? Definitely something stinks here!

I then called Verizon (my provider) to report that I received a call like this and it definitely sounded fraudulent. While she checked the number that called me, I got on the Internet to check 411.com, which told me the number was also a Verizon wireless number from Buffalo, NY.  The Verizon rep couldn't tell me anything about it except it was not in service. She advised me to report it to my local police dept.

After that, I got on the phone with my credit card companies, canceled those cards and ordered new ones, telling each of them the situation. It's obvious to me that these people have my information, and this is their way of confirming things.

TODAY, I received ANOTHER call at 9:45 am (NOTE: around the same time as yesterday's call), and when I answered it, the voice was different but the message started out the same- "May I speak to XXXXX?" I'm calling from DPS in UTAH.." and I interrupted him to say, "Oh, I have reported you guys to my local Police Dept", to which he replied, "Really, why?" and then the line went dead.  Again, I called it back immediately and again, the number is disconnected, from Broadwing Communications in Philadelphia.  I tried to call Broadwing, and could not reach them.

Please let people know, these are SCAM artists!

I too have received 2 calls from this number today and am also getting the disconnected mesage from verizon...I dont know who is calling but it is really irritating....Noone says anything when I answer they just hang up...

I recieved this call twice and a guy named Shihir and asked for my name. I told him to give me a call back but never called back. I am shocked to know he knew my name.

This number keapt calling me today too, but i keapt ignoreing the call.

I have received two calls today from this number on my cell phone.  Both times I was unable to answer it.  No message ever left.  I don't know anyone with the 716 area code (Buffalo, NY).  Based on other comments here, this is a suspicious number.  DON'T EVER RETURN A CALL LIKE THIS.

I've gotten several different calls from this number, and I too, each time it was answered the caller would hang up. It's making me angry, I had <i>just</i> gotten my number changed so nobody should have it.

Received 2 calls from this number .. but it hangs up as soon as I answer.
When you call this number Verizon says it's disconnected or no longer in service ...
