Suckers keep calling my phone, they use 716 numbers which are VOIP from Buffalo NY, i am in California so i just used my smartphone to block all 716 numbers... problem solved, i see on my call log the number has been blocked every couple of days.......suckers!!!!! LOL

this guy calls parents and inlaws and all the people that work in my office.  very persistent and rude.  

Some real smart mouth called by the name of BRAD and left a snooty message.  All that was left in the message was that I needed to call and let them know how I intended to take care "of the matter".  When I called them back they would give me no information and just wanted to continue to ask for personal information.  I explained to them that if they had anything legitimate that they could mail it and hung up the phone.

Report the calls to the FTC and your state's Attorney General.  It may be helpful to tell your whole family - your mom included - that if  they get any more calls from this guy, that they tell him they're recording all calls he makes to them on the advice of their attorney (even if they don't have one) for violations of the FDCPA.

This guy called me and asked about my father who passed away on January 1991.  I told him he was no longer alive.  My mother heard the conversation and told me that this person has been bugging her as well.  My mother is 80 yrs old, and this guy was trying to get her to pay a bill dated 2001 by my father using threats.  Luckly, she used her common sense and hung up.  This guy is still calling her.  I shared this story with my other sisters and brothers, and they have been nagged by this guy too.  We told him that my father passed away ten years prior to what ever the purchase or service was he is trying to collect.  I must admit, he is persistant. LOL

Michael Anderson called from this number claiming he was from NRS National Recovery Systems debt collection in NY. Predatory collector trying to use intimidation and threats on a debt I do not owe from a credit card I closed 12 years ago. He was very rude and unprofessional. He also called my boyfriends cell phone number which I have no idea how he got bc our accounts were NEVER linked. It sounded like a scam, he was trying to make me pay immediately "or else".

I received a call from Jack Michells in regards to my ex husband who i have years without speaking to i dont even know how he has my number since not even my ex has my number. He called feon NRS whatever that means with a case number?? Any ideas how he got my number and what is this call about.

Just got off the phone with Jack Mitchell looking for family members.  I figured I'd Google the number before I passed on the message and this is the first thing that came up.  So glad I did.  He's claiming he works for the National Attorney Network of New York State and dropped in a case number.

this moron has been calling me, an old job, my ex wife, my mother and other relatives.  lol says he's doing everything he can to reach me something about going to court.  Last I knew, in order to go to court you have to serve me properly.  These collection people get minimum wage if that and work on commission which is why they do this.  sad they can't get a real job!  have fun and when you're ready just go to the local court house and serve me properly silly tw*t

Yeah, this Jack Mitchell called me too from the same number 716-478-0842 looking for someone I don't know, but oddly enough had specific personal information, and also contacted several of my family members for the same reason.

I called him back and he actually returned my call and seemed fairly nice, stating he had misinformation and apologized for the mistake; said our numbers would be removed form the alleged case file.

He said he was with an attorney referral services in New York and that he was assigned to a case in Los Angeles??? sounds more like a skip tracer or collection agency reaching for straws...had just enough information to make you wonder, but not enough to make any sense.

This Jack Mitchell has called my mother, father who are not even married anymore and in fact live in different cities.  He told them that he needed to get a hold of their son immediately and did give them a case number while emphasizing the serious nature of getting in touch with me.

He called my 23 year old son and told him he needed to talk to his father and if he doesn't talk to me by today he would start garnishing my wages and will file liens on my property.  My son asked him how he got his cell phone number he would not give an answer.  He messed with the wrong person.

Well we just received a call for my husband's ex-wife calling my cell phone looking for  her.  yes we get along, but don't know how he got my number.  he even knew her maiden name which is weird.  Jack Mitchell claimed to be an attorney and also that there was a case number to a case.  I am making a report to our county prosecutor's office and police deparment.  let you all know if we find him and his true identity.

This number has been showing up on my cell almost daily for the last few months, with no message left, or the tail end of one. Until today, "Jack Mitchell" for NRS was letting me know that a suit was being filed in my county court. He left a case number and I or my attourny should call him back on another 714 phone number. After reading some posts here, I'm wondering if "Jack Mitchell" is a script name.  That or he's the only employee.

I always receive calls for a Stephanie at the strip club here I'm jus the manager don't wanna give out the last name or place of my employment but she hasn't been stripping here for years... shes mow a nurse I tell him an this jack mitchell jus keeps calling.. I guess he doesn't believe me because me cause I'm tellin him shes no longer a stripper but a nirse now... I guess I see why.

There have been a lot of complaints on whocallsme about debt collectors calling people up and making life hell for them. They use a robodialer to call everyone in a given area demanding payment for debts, whether or not they exist. The money goes right in their pocket, and the creditor if there is one never sees a dime.

They have also been known to terrorize the person's relatives to get information from them, call all day and night nonstop, call their supervisor and try to get them fired, threaten to show up at their workplace and arrest them, take them to court and overstate the amount supposedly owed to them.

Because of the harrassment potential, I recommend that you get a call-blocker. Because I think you live in the US, if you have a PC then Google Voice would be perfect for you. It's free and reroutes your annoying callers to another number while sending them the message that your number is no longer in service. It also programs their robodialer to delete your number from their database so they no longer call you. You can also use it to block their calls to your number at work! GV is connected to your land or cell phone, and setup instructions are available on Google for the kind of phone you're using.

Report the scammers to www.IC3.gov. They are conducting an investigation against them.

This caller left s message on my phone claiming to be from the Warren County, Ohio, court system - which they are not any part of. Demanding either I or my attorney call them immediately. Said his name was Jack Mitchell from "NRS" - no explanation who "NRS" is or the purpose of the call, and this is on my cellphone.

They called asking me to verify information and didnt give me a reason for the call

He has called my home & cell, my husband. He even went so far as to call my husband's ex-wife. States that he's trying to verify my employment at a place that I haven't worked at in over a decade. He continues to call even after being told they don't know how to reach me.

Is this jerk really a lawyer?  If not, he could be in serious trouble for impersonating one.  I, too, got a call from him today looking for someone else.  I will save his message where he claims to be a lawyer and find out if he really is.  If not, he better watch out!!!  I don't play games.....he never should have called my personal cell number, my business number, and my home number!

Jack Mitchell has been calling our office constantly for a former employee. When I have told this jerk he is not reachable at this number he just calls back the next day. He says he is processing a case from a nearby county and that this is the number he was told to call. That he is going to include our company in the case. I told him to go ahead and try.
