How do we stop these calls.  I think I am going to do what the last guy did and call every chance I get.  #67 and they won't know the number called from.

I was being sued for a debt that I did not owe.

I got a call from these people saying it was a mrs Clark and she was calling from a Goldberg law firm in NY saying i owed 400.00 from a check casing company from 2008. These people call my number all the time.

Got the call today same number..same bs line. Well our bank account was hacked and drained a few weeks back.. And that phone number was on that account.

After seeing these messages.. I called the number back. The lady answered as Law Office. I told them exactly what i thought and not to call back.. She cussed me out and hung up. So i called a dozen more times.. They keep hanging up every time.

So i have taken it on my self to call that number every chance i get.. to harrass them as they do everyone else. Will be contacting attorney general & every other blacklist i can find.

A Mrs Clark called my phone to claiming to have a lawsuit against me, she did not leave a name of company so I called back and demanded what company and she said Goldberg Lawfirm, what a liar!! Beware of scams like this.!!

Well thank you guys, my ex texted me today advising me that some woman left this message on my machine talking about a civil case something crazy. Me thinking what did I do? So I called the number to see who it was and a voice mail of ms Clark came on, no message left I just checked to see what area code this was and landed here! Thank god! Ms Clark can kick rocks !

i got the same call you did today, and i was baffled at first because i can't recall owning anyone anything since all my bills get paid on time. well i decided to go to google and enter the phone number that left on my answering machine and to my surprise i find your message amoung others regarding this ms clark and a civil case against me. the government needs to take action against these harrasing calls to people that have no idea of what a scam is arising out there.

A lady that goes by the name of Mrs.Clark called and left me a message that they were filing a civil suit against me. Found out they are in New York and I wouldn't be sued over anything in a states I've never been in. Thank God for google.

They are a rogue collection agency that uses abusive tactics to bully people into sending them money to pay "overdue bills" for a debt that they don't have, or don't owe to them. They then pocket the money. If the victim has an actual debt, they are not the creditor's legal representatives so they pocket that money as well and the creditor never gets it.
The best thing to do is if they called your cellphone is to check your bank account/credit reports for fraudulent transactions (just in case they have the technology to hack your personal information using your number) and contact your bank if you find anything suspicious. Even a small transaction, if ignored, can result in a large debit from your account the next time around. This is how the scammer knows if you are reading your bank statements or not. Also contact your cellphone service provider and have the call blocked.
Sorry if this scares you, but scammers can be very aggressive these days-you can't be too careful.

i got a call from this number saying that i had 24hrs to call them back about a pending claim in my county this number is from NY and they had all of my info the last four of my SSN what county i am in who the hell is this can some one please tell me who these ppl are

Received a call from a blocked number- woman stated she was calling from a law firm regarding a case placed with them for prosecution.  She left 716-568-7944 as the number to call back.  At first i was truly alarmed- i don't have the best credit but have straightened my life out in the last 4 years, and was honestly scared something from my past was coming back to bite me!  Thank God for google- i found MANY other people that were called from various numbers regarding a debt they don't have, and told to call this number.  I won't be calling them back!
