Getting calls every Morning and every Evening. Asks for someone I do not know, I am then instructed to press 9.

Getting this call daily.  sometimes several times a day.  Just like listed above, it's a recording stating that there is a time sensitive business matter related to the social security number of ...(and then it cuts out)

Scam artist or bill collector?  I'm not sure, since they so closely resemble each other in their tactics.  A large number of bill collectors use heavy-handed or vaguely threatening techniques when they know that they are beyond the law in their attempts to collect a debt.

Don't worry about it until you get a subpoena.

Automated recorded call asking for someone who isn't a resident at my home. From the posted information I suspect a collector.  Folks, it's time to either shut up and quit complaining if you're not willing to contact your Congress representative about revising the Fair Debt Collection Laws.  New legislation is a sure way to protect innocent victims and put a stop to these annoying phone calls.  Join with me and  either call or write your Congress Representative!  By the way, cease letters to these collectors don't always put a stop to phone calls.  Your time and money spent on sending out certified mail could be continuous if these company's sell off collection debts to other debt companies.  Insist that Caller I.D. number with company name be known with a new law and that robo automated calls be against the law.

Folks, just do the same thing I do.  First, my cell phone is my only phone.  I don't answer calls for numbers I don't recognize.  I do reverse searches on the internet after hearing the message.  Then, I save the number in my cell phone under Unwanted01, Unwanted02 and so forth.  Each of these entries can hold up to five numbers for Mobile1, Mobile2, Home, Work and Fax.  Then, last but not least, I set the ringtone for these entries to Silent.  I don't get bothered by them anymore.

Sams as above.  Called on cell phone, I didn't answer - voicemail was something about a time sensitive and important message for someone with the social security number...then it cut off.  I checked my credit yesterday and I have NO COLLECTIONS.  Nothing.  I don't know of any pending and I don't owe anyone money so STOP CALLING ME!

I received a voicemail from this 'company'. When I called it back a rude man answered and I said I had the wrong #. Then I looked up this # on this website, and found out its information.

This is the 1st call I've had from QAR. I'd like to hope it's my last....

They never sent you anything in writing either?  That's shady and wrong. Collection agencies need to go away. Banks get to write off bad debts, let them write them off and be done with them.  The pain and suffering to the poor consumers will hurt families forever.  It's criminal that they allow consumer debts to live after charge off but they allow the thieves on Wall Street to collect their millions in bonuses for lending money in a care-free and predatory manner.

We have received more than 30 phone calls from QAR and the only way we knew who was calling was by reverse lookup on the internet.  They have never provided anything in writing, we are not even sure this is a valid call or if they are trying to scam us.  Never once has it been a live person, despite the fact that most of the time we pick up the calls. This has been going on for weeks and they have an obligation to notify consumers if they have a valid reason for calling and leaving threatening messages.

This is not the only number they are calling us from. They have a bunch of others. Here are two: 716 205 1164, 716 564 4905.

I get automated calls from this number at least twice a week. The automated name you can not understand so I don't know if the calls are even for someone in my household. They say it is not a solititation call but a time sensitive matter regarding the social security number that matches _____________. I don't call them back. If it was that important, they'd send a letter. They haven't. I guess if it's not that much of a big deal to them, it's not that much of a big deal to me.

Get calls from this number everyday. also from 866-892-4564.  I never pick up and they are now leaving messages to call back regarding the SSN of someone in my household.  
Debt Collectors are sleazy.  I am not afraid of them.  They talk a lot, but legally, they don't have much to stand on.
Learn your rights as a consumer.  We have a lot protecting us from these sharks.

Got a call on my cell, but didn't answer it (duh!).  The computer-generated message was funny -- it said it was "related to the social security number belonging to (my computer-generated name)."  Which means precisely nothing.  It also told me to call 866-892-4564.  I didn't.

Yes, I owe money to someone.  No, I can't pay it.  Yes, I know my legal rights in Texas -- and I have a lawyer.  File a suit or go away empty handed.

Called and left a message saying they had a time sensitive matter regarding the social security number belonging to (name unrecognized) and it was important to call 8668924564. Looking up that number comes to a QAR Collection Agency.

I had serveral phone calls from this number. I called back, they we looking for someone else who does not live on my address.... I asked them to removed my number from their call list. Still happening. What do I need to do?
