Got a call today from these people.  They told me immediately that they were going to prosecute me for a charge I had back in 2007.   Would not tell me who from.  Need my SS# and were very rude.  I told them to mail me something and said goodbye.  They called back about 5 times in a row being very rude and screaming on the phone.   I called my local police station and filed a report.

I was taken by these a**holes. They scared me into paying them $100.00 a month. I called in November and asked for a confirmation letter with our agreement on it, I NEVER received one! In December they took out another payment and I told them if I did not get the letter I was stopping payments to them, well Mr. Marshall Thomas told me he would mail it out himself right away, again I never received it. So I had to go to the bank and close my account and reopen another one so they no longer could have access to my money! I am once again getting phone calls telling me I am going to be sued for $10,000.00 and going to jail for check fraud because I closed my account.  The original loan amount was $900.00 and when I called the origanl loan holder they told me they never heard of Shapiro and Price and that my account was closed and the loan charged off. I am not a dead beat and I do pay my bills but this loan going into default happened when I lost my job. Marshall Thomas told my daughter who answered the phone they WILL come after me and they WILL get their money or I WILL going to jail. Now I have a young daughter all upset thinking her mom is going to jail. Mr. Marshall Thomas is an Idiot. I have filed complaints with my local authorities, the NY BBB, NY Attorney General and the FCC. These idiots need to be shut down!

My husband had been recieveing constant calls from this Shapiro & Price for months about a pay day loan that he took out many years ago and paid it back in cash. They call from a (716)986-9606 number, her name is Ms. Jones and she refuses to give her first name, as she sounds like she smokes a train of cigarettes a day. I asked to speak with her supervisor or the owner, who names himself, Marshall Thomas, lol, what a joke! They kept calling my husbands and harassing him about a bad check, when in fact he didn't write a check to pay off his payday loan, he used cash to pay it off. His credit report had nothing on it in regards to this check and amount at which they were trying to seek. I asked them to send me an invoice or some information and Ms. Jones stated that once the entire bill was paid in full, then she would mail us out some documents(red flag). They continued to call, therefore, I had enough. I told them that we made a statement to our local police department, we called the Attorney General, The BBB, The NAACP, the FTC, wrote a letter to the Supreme Court, was notifying local and surrounding areas news stations and newpapers, was sueing not only the Shapiro "fake" company, but was also sueing Ms. Jones individually for all the harassing phone calls and yelling(she immediately stopped calling my husbands phone). We explained that we are sueing for defamation of character, phone harassment,  larding of money from innocent victims, etc, etc. We are letting everyone that we can, know about these people. They act as a Law Firm and a Debt Collection Agency. They will not give you a physical address, but they do have a p.o. box in Amherst, New York. They have so many complaints and I cannot understand why the police department of New York, who we will also be notifying, doesn't stop them. I informed Shapiro and Price that they will get none of our money and to leave us the alone. No calls since all this drama. My husband couldn't get rid of them, so me, the Mrs. stepped in and got it handled.

To you Marshall Thomas, lol if that is your real name....keep your goat face, studdering over words, pee wee herman sounding, never having sex a** and get a real job, you will get busted.

I received a a call they used my nieces name shanese and saidto call a 866 number when I tried to call it nothing. It was for a product return of some sort have no idea.

I've gotten two calls from this company telling me I had issues with a check I had written from my personal account.  DO NOT CALL THEM!  First of all, if I had any issues with my personal checking account my bank would be the one to call me, not some lawyers office!  Don't fall for this scam.

They were calling under Shapiro and something, something... they are looking for someone who doesn't live here regarding legal matters.  At that time, I reported them to FTC.  The calls stopped.  Now, they apparently changed their name and have started calling again.  Same phone number but called ID says Hover Networks.

These idiots buy old debts for pennys on the dollar that have already been discharged as uncollectable from Pay Day Loan Places & Sears & Phone Companys & other places.

This is the only one that has ever come back on us. We got a lawyer involved before with this one, and it was found that we had already paid it, and then was sent on to this company. We are also in the process of filing for bankruptcy so we threw it in our bankruptcy to make sure it was all covered. Then we started getting automated calls from this company, which escalated to voice mails from a live person last week, and a call to my husbands parents in which the woman told his mom that he had a court date set, and that he would go to jail. They left us a threatening voicemail which also told us that he was being named as the defendant in a check fraud case. Scared us out of our minds. We called our bankruptcy lawyers and they said that they would call and talk to them, and advised us not to have contact with them. I cannot believe it is legal to threaten people with criminal prosecution just to get them to pay you. We have never recieved anything on paper from this company or the previous company verifing this debt!

THIS IS A SCAM!  Shapiro and Price.  Got a call yesterday and another today.  It is a recorded threat that they have tried to contact me and I didn't call back so they are going to pursue other legal options to collect their money from my personal bank account.  I'm to call back or have my attorney call back by the end of the day today (gee, or was that yesterday)  (I get the same message every day).  Call back number is 877-228-1217.  I'm calling the phone company today and blocking numbers as well as turning this information over to the FBI. Shapiro and Price - YOU ARE BUSTED!!!!

Get recorded messages from someone from Shapiro and Price then its Shapiro and Caster, not only here at home but at work also and the messages are sometimes automated sometimes a real person.   It is concerning a past debt and I need to call them back or have my attorney of record call them.  They do not send any documentation when I asked them to and when I tell them that the New York Bar Association has no record of a Shapiro and Price law firm they get angry and tell me I have not checked on that, when I say I did, I hang up.  They stop calling for 2-3 months then do it again.

Same call. Scam. I have excellent credit I owe them nothing.

Says they are calling concerning a returned item from a bank account and need us to call or have our attorney call. They are a debt collection agency pretending to be a law office. google shapiro and price and do yourself a favor. Avoid them at all costs.

Kinda strange considering that they are not an actual law office but claim to be one. They are serious offenders and are going to be turned in to the state bar association as well as the FCC since we are not the party they are looking for and further we have asked several times to be removed from their calling list.

Turn these liars in and do your part to bother them as much as they bother all of us.

I got two calls from this number on different days this same week saying that it is about some returned stuff I recently purchased and I should immediately contact them about my checking account and stuff. Its really scary when they use words like "legal matters"

They were calling me daily claiming to be Shapiro and something, looking for someone I've never heard of regarding legal matters.  I reported them to FTC.  The calls stopped.  They just started again, only now the caller ID says Hover Networks, same phone number.

They have called me repeatedly asking for Katrina.  I have told them several times to stop calling, because this is not her phone number anymore.  Getting extremely tired of them.  I added my number to the do not call list, but that didn't help either.
