This is the second time I have received a voicemail on my home phone from Office of Attorney Vincent Cignarale looking for a former roommate of mine.  It's been years since we roomed together so I don't understand why they are calling me.  Caller identified self as Brian Nave.  In the voicemail, which I have recorded and will send to the NY State Office of Attorney Grievance Committees, Brian stated that they were calling about a legal matter involving my friend that they want to resolve out of court.  He left a number to call back:  1-866-876-7234 ext. 358.  Why are they leaving this type of personal information on my voicemail when it doesn't even concern me?  Isn't it illegal to leave any reference of a lawsuit regarding someone else?  These guys are obviously bill collectors at their worst.

I was also called by Giove Law Office.  They left a message looking for an ex-boyfriend of mine that I stupidly co-signed on a credit card for a few years ago.  I did a little digging and they look like a legit debt collection law firm.  So, sorry I. Gotcha, they're legit, even if that website slanders them.  Just because the attorneys are practicing in debt collection, that does not make them "bottom feeders" or crooks.  They are just doing their job, and attorneys are around to help get those debts collected.  I know that my ex has collectors after him, so this is just one more case of that.  

I chose to call the number back, told them to take my number out of their system, and then I gave them my ex's number.  :-)  They can call him directly now!
