I just got a call from 716-768-4778. A man very sternly left a message with my name and a case number saying I defrauded a bank and said he was from the law firm of Bernstein and Lombardo. He called back from a restricted number while I was in the middle of typing this reply. I told him that there were hundreds of reports online saying they were scammers and he said Wut number I told him the new York number with    the new York area code he said he didn't have a number like that but he called my fone from that number he asked me if a certain number was my social security number I told him I wasn't giving him my personal information he said oh no this is all real and u are being recorded and he said it was a claim from MG bank.... I asked him his name again he said Bill Jones then said we are just gonna proceed with this case and hung up note he called from a restricted number the second time

Got a call at 10:00 this morning from "Mike Verano".  My mother had the misfortune of answering the call.  They asked for me and when my mother asked what the call was in reference to, he barked out "serious allegations of Bank Fraud".  When she dismissed his call he threatened to have her subpoenaed in court... The miscreant proceeded to reference a fictitious law firm " Bernstein Lomb." that, after a quick google search, doesn't exist.  He aggressively bullied my mother, tried to get her personal information, and demanded to know when she would call him back.  Pushy and shameless.  Wreaks of desperation.  No doubt , this is a hack job scam artist.  What concerns me is how they obtained my information and just what information they have .  Could be an identity fraud scam, just trying to piece together some missing information.

I would like to make an example out of these creeps.  If anyone would like to file a class action lawsuit for harassment, fraud, slander, and violation of privacy, please contact me karmaxroads@gmail.com to discuss.  At the very least, they might slow down this shady operation.

A young lady with a very nasty attitude called on my job and as I was asking questions she VERY RUDELY said that she had to transfer me to the person that I needed to talk to, in the process of being transferred a call comes from 716-381-4613 stating that I was transferred to her - yet ANOTHER VERY RUDE FEMALE PERSON stating that I owe a company and that they have contacted my employer to start garnishment procedure but I can only handle the amount owed over the phone.  There is no one that I could have spoken with at all.  I for one do not appreciate them - who ever it is calling on my job, and second when I told them I do not handle business over the phone and especially on my job - the female got very disrepectful to me and I hung up.  Who can I contact to file a compliant?

So my husband called and said he had a missed call from them, because they have been harassing me thinking my phone number belongs to someone else. Anyway there are two numbers this one and (760)991-3230. The man that answered finally said "ECS" and hung up after hanging up on me several times because they didn't want me to ask who they were. Anyway I have no idea who ECS is or what they are doing but it smells fishy!

Got a call from them today. They left a message for another person saying they were a person of interest and to call back ASAP or decisions would be made on their account without their consent. I called back to explain they had the wrong number. They said thanks and that was that.

They called last night saying someone was a person of interest.... but the name they provided was unknown to me & I've had my phone number since 1998.  Obviously a scam & I recall them calling sometime ago but I haven't heard from them in over a year.  I called the # back & a gentleman answered saying "law offices" & I hung up.

Received a call from 716 768 5527 from Gloria. She stated that I needed to call her immediately and she called an employer I worked for 5 years ago (instead of my current employer). When I called back, I was transferred to a man who mumbled who knew the last 4 digits of my social and asked if I still banked at bank midwest. I closed my account there in 2010. I do have an unpaid payday loan and he knew the address of that place so I don't know what to think. They refuse to send me a letter stating all this because they "need the counties permission. I'm calling the loan place directly now

A message was left from a Gloria, wanting to speak to a person (who does not live in the household) because there is suspicious activity associated with the SS# of the person of interest. Gave the phone #, and said to call back until 1:30pm today Saturday, or all day Monday.

I was called by a man who claimed to work at PCS Services. He said they were a law firm and was asking me to verify my name. He rattled off my social security number and asked me to confirm it, I refused. He hung up on me. I called them back and a girl answered with the last name Walker. She too wanted me to verify a lot of information. I refused and asked to speak with a supervisor. When the supervisor got on the phone she claimed that I was under investigation for check fraud from a payday loan company from 2008 and they were the middle men between the payday loan company and the attorneys. She said she didn?t care if I wouldn?t verify my social security number because she had it right in front of her and she knew it was me. She had all of my previous addresses, my husband?s name as well as my ex husband?s name. She was pleasant at first but when I told her I couldn?t pay the full amount in the order of $800.00, she became very demanding. She stated that the payment arrangement that I was trying to make of $75.00 a month was "a slap in the face" for the payday loan company and according to her I walked into a payday loan company and took money that I had no intentions of paying back and after 5 years I need to own up to my contract and pay the money back. She told me I had two options. She said either I could get up and go get my checkbook and give them money or she would walk right in to the attorneys office and have them sign off on it and they would take me to court. She then hung up on me. I was afraid so I gathered the money and tried to call them back with payment, but they would never answer. I then did some research and found out this was a scam. I reported it to and filed a claim against them with the Colorado Attorney General?s office. Apparently they are a collection agency that is practicing without a license.

Received call asking for a Tracy Fulton. The person that called was a female by the name of Carol Sheilds. Ref #177072. Tried call the number back as it appeared on my phone: 716-768-5530 (voice mail that stated IF YOU ARE A TELEMARKET HANG UP & YOU HAVE REACHED A NUMBER THAT'S NOT IN SERVICE.
Tried the # that was left: 716-768-5527 (no answer). What the caller doesn't know is that I word in law enforcement & I will get to the bottom of this.  It seems as though any & everybody can get your number unknowing to you.  The ones that obey the law are always being bugged (for sun up to sun down), while all others get away with so much. What's going on in this world?

The message I received on 6/17/13 was for an Albert Harris. The message sounded urgent, and Albert should call back as soon as possible. No company name was mentioned, and when I called the number back the person on the other end answered with a hello, not a company name. Something should be done to end these scamming calls.

I get calls messages at least twice a week. Same message - I have been named as a person of interest - I assumed it was someone attempting to collect a debt, however, without leaving a legitimate business name and a logical message, i dont return those types of calls. I agree with what others have said, there are far too many phishers and scammers out there.

A gentleman named "Victor White" called me yesterday from 716-254-6645 and said that I had a pending criminal case in the county I lived in and gave me a case number. Little did he know that I am the daughter of a Sheriff's Deputy and have made quite a few friends in the legal system. I had one check this case number against all pending cases in Washington State and nada. They checked under my maiden name, which is what this gentleman if you call him that left the message for, which is not correct as I have been married for over 5 years and there is nothing in the system except a restraining order I had to file in 1996 against an old boyfriend.
This morning at 7:25 am, I got another phone call and message which now said they were going to file paperwork if I didn't call. Of course now they are trying to adjudicate a claim. They are using everything in the book to try to scare you into returning the call. Note the time, they are calling from New York so it was 10:25 there but it is illegal for them to call before 8am....and it was in Washington. So I called back and a woman "Anna Baker" answered and asked if they had called the number I was calling from. I said yes but the message got cut off. I figured it was something important considering it was so early here on the west coast. She went into a panic. Someone must have gotten my voicemail and realized that I was the wrong person and purged it so no one else would call and bother me. She knew that they had broken the law.

I received a call from someone saying to call back at this number as I (or someone assumingly in my household) is a "person of interest". No company or personal identification. Also, no such number left on the phone message to call the party back on (which is #7167685527) comes up on my caller ID, so they are not calling from the (716) number they left, and they did not even name who it is they are looking for...????.

Someone named Ericka, Erica, Erika...however it is spelled left a message on my work voicemail, never stating what company she was from.  She stated I had until the end of the day to return the call in reference to 5 digit reference number she left or she would proceed with paper work regarding this matter.

I am so tired of these scam phone calls and if they continue I will be filing charges against this phone number.

Got the same phone message-no company, no name left and this number. There are so many scams going on. I used to call the numbers back and the scamming kind would say you owed money or try to get personal info for some loan or grant they wanted to offer. Good thing I wasn't interested and got suspicious while talking to them and said I had to go. when I looked up the companies, I discovered they weren't on the web or were bogus. Once when I tried to explain that I did not owe anything and they must have the wrong person, the individual started yelling at me and accusing me of lying so I hung up and reported it to the police and the FTC.

Now I always search numbers on the Internet on sites like this before I call back any numbers I do not recognize. Thank God for these sites and people sharing. It is terrible how much of this scamming is going on.

I, too, have received a call-same as others who have reported this. Due to all the scam calls and plots going around, I do not answer calls unless I know who I am calling. Saying someone is a "person of interest" would concern anyone, and the caller needs to say what company he or she is with. If I get anymore of these calls, I will file complaints as harassing people by phone is also against the law. (Please note, too, that I have a caller ID and this number does not show up at all, so the caller is calling from somewhere else, too.)

They called and left me a message at work, asking for me with my husband's surname, which I have never used. They called me a "person of interest."  They did not say what it was regarding or their name.  When I call back the number they left or the number that showed up on caller ID, no one picks up, I just get a voice mail recording by a woman, where she does not identify her name or the calling entity's name, but when I wait to leave a message I learn they are called "Prime Credit Solutions" but their mailbox is full.

Not sure if you are in California but here in our state, a debt collector cannot attach interest in a collection procedure by any means. These guys are trying to add on $300.00 to my payday loan. I now got them on grounds of harrassment and intimidation due to the fact that they threatened me with jail for defrauding them via check. (which is a crock of B.S) They used a name of "Debt Solutions" when they called me. Couldn't find the company on Google. Maybe it was because I made them aware that what they were doing was illegal and I would take legal action. Since I know how to file the correct papers in Calfornia Superior Court, I will be filing a suit against them and represent myself on this matter. Good luck in pursuing your situation. (-:

Called Minn Attorney Generals Office. They would like a company name for these folks so they can track them down. They said not to give them any info about yourself, They are very probably scammers, no legitimate company fails to leave the co name or have it on the message line or have it attached to their land lines.
