Also, wait, WHAT?  Were you supposedly imprisoned for 90 days for not having a lawyer present?  Or were you supposedly held pre-arraignment for 90 days?  Both of these things don't happen in real life.  Because of things called laws, including the Constitution.

This is so far-fetched that no one bothered to reply to you for a year.  Who posts from a holding cell?  Also, in what state are there debtor's prisons?

Debt Collector
Just recieved a call from an Alan Goldman. He left a message that I have a complaint filed against me and said he can not discuss the matter in a voice mail recording and that I should call him back ASAP and give them my case number. Having never been in the upstate NY area I became suspicous and began to research this name and number. I have found several sites that list this number as a debt collection agency. The BBB also gives this company an "F" rating. These people are parasites & predators attemptimg to play on peoples fears. Nothing more than a con game. But there is a solution. Reference this link and it will explain how to handle debt collectors. http://www.ultimate-wealth-made-easy.com/no-contract-return-to-sender.html       And another good site that shows you how to handle them is     http://inalienablerights.wordpress.com/return-to-sender/    When you follow the steps outlined here it works like rat poison! They can not produce a contract since all they did is buy the debt. Must have a contract to secure a payment...sorry Alan, your company can eat the worthless paper they bought!

I got a call from this number today for someone who does not live at this address. I've been getting calls from debt collectors since the first day I got this number for a number of people I've never heard of. This Virginia Wolfe person mentioned some court summons thing and case number and that it was for the name of one of those people the debt collectors have been calling after for years. Last name is the same, but the first name belongs to someone else. Those few times that I've answered the debt collectors in the past just to be sure I didn't hear my name, I had them spell the name for me and it wasn't me, so they said, "Thanks," and hung up. I eventually gave up on these people and started adding the various numbers they call from to my call block list--Enough is enough. I'm glad I found this page. For a minute I thought there was a problem. I guess the problem is for this other person. Never mind the fact that if there was really a court summons from anywhere in the country, they would almost certainly send me some mail on the matter long before I got a phone call. I've been summoned to court on a few small matters in the past, and it has always been by mail. I'm going to assume that this is BS at this point.

Debt Collector
SCAMMER.  Recording left on my phone says they're calling from Williamson & Brown--referencing "page 3" of something they claim they mailed to my house delivered today. Please return call so they can "collect a statement and attorney information".

I don't believe that for a minute Bob.  She called me today about a summons for a court in my state, yet she was calling from New York.  If I was really being sued, I would be notified by the state or a constable with a paper summons.  Nobody is going to just give me a phone call.  My state knows where to find me, obviously she doesn't and I prefer to keep it that way and just keep ignoring those calls.

We received a call on 6/14 from same person.  As mentioned, she mumbles a lot .  Said our name and number were given by another person whose name happens to be the same as a relative.  Gave a case number and said it was important to call back something about a summons.  Called after hours, no company name just Virginia Hunter on voicemail.  Thanks everyone, now know that it is a scam.

Virgina Hunter called me with regard to a summons for someone in another state. I may call her back just to turn the tables on this fraudster. It's a shame she is supposedly so far away on the end of a phone or she would have something else attached to her ear more painful.

She's a scammer.  She's trying to scare you into paying a debt you don't owe.

Tell your boss, the HR department where you work and whoever answers the phone when she calls for you about this thread and other similar threads on this site.  Have everyone hang up on her.

Virginia Hunter called my ex inlaws and asked for my
ex father in law and then said he was used as a referance in regards
to me. Then she asked to speak to me in regards to a
case number with my county of residency. I feel this is a scam
the county has my info they can reach me directly.

I just received a recording from this Virginia Hunter.  Was not able to understand most of what she was saying, as she mumbled through the message.....something about a summons to appear for a Shannon someone.  Obviously, I now know this to be a scam and will not return call.

I got a call from this number - a man said he was calling to confirm information in a car ap that I sent online.  I didn't apply for a car loan - yet this man  knew my name, address and cell phone number.  He said he had my ss # also - but couldn't tell me what it was over the phone.
