Ordering 200 pizzas plus wanting to add large amount of money to credit card in order to send cash to courier to pick up order.  Glad I'm a suspicious person.  Said she was having surgery and couldn't bring card in. when I offered to come to her she said "thanks, bye"

First red flag is the horrific grammar.  Second, who wants individually packed chicken and salad for 200 for a party?  Third is the NB, which is a European version of P.S.   Very strange.

My husband suggested I Google it, and I found all of these warnings about the "hearing impaired" credit card scams.  Thanks, folks, you just saved me a bunch of $$$.

We just got a call from a TTDY caller asking us to do repairs on a ford truck coming from New Hampshire. He had just relocated from New Hamphire to Maryland and his ford truck needs towed down and repaired. We could run his credit card for  $2500- $500 for repairs and $2000 would be sent to the tow company on his behalf. He did not want to give much vehicle detail on the phone instead he wanted us to further communicate via e-mail: HenryWills31@yahoo.com. I contacted my county police department and they were not impressed stating that maybe the person, since hearing impaired, just didn't understand how the business collects money and conducts business! IDIOTS!!! All they could suggest is calling the FBI if I truly believe it is a scam and e-mail is involved. I called the FBI and they want a report filed by going to WWW.IC3.GOV so the crime can be investigated and stopped. PLEASE everyone it is so easy to file a report so this group of people can stop making us victims!!! FILE WITH WWW.IC3.GOV.

SO DID YOU AT LEAST ASK "HER" FOR the credit card numbers?  I did.. I said send me the numbers, then immediately went to my local police precinct. They didn't seem to be too amused, but at least from my point of view, i played the game long enough to save one victim.. and in this case, i was given 2 cc  numbers, so i saved two people headaches...

Personally I think Places like Nigeria, and Somalia, should be nuked off the earth due to the pure nature the majority of the population engaging in some sort of piracy.

CALLER LEFT MESSAGE VIA CASHIER. Wanted and I quote,

My reply led to....

Got a call from a person named Henry Wills. The call came through as a TTYD (hearing impaired) call. He claimed to have purchased an RV from Minnesota and have it towed to our shop in Kent WA. I asked him for a VIN number on the vehicle which he provided. I googled that number and that came up as an RV for sale on Ebay in Arizona. Knowing at that point that he was trying to run a scam on our shop, I decided to have a little fun with him. I told him that we could accomidate his needs but we would need him present at time of delivery of the RV and he would have to show us proper Washington State ID and proper vehicle licensing information. He went on to claim that he was having a surgery and would be unable to meet those requests. Thats when I decided to tell him that we are a cash only shop! 12 Days later he tried the EXACT same thing word for word!! I feel sad for someone who is truly disabled and in need of service!! We have done research on this scam, and guess what THE GOVERMENT PAYS FOR THESE CALLS and it is illegal to not take them!

We just got a call from a "deaf" Ruth Roker.  She wanted to order $600 in Thai food, then add an extra $900 for a delivery fee which we would process by credit card, then pay the "delivery service" $900 by western union.  Total scam.

she had an deaf interpreter who asked us to give them an email address for Ruth Roker to contact us for a chicken catering of 200 servings (we are in stanton). she was willing to pay $1400 worth of food with her credit card over the email and had a private shipper that will come to pick the order up. we searched this number out of curiosity and found out about what was about to happen to us. thank you !

I just got off the phone with Peter Lawal, but he's now from Humble, TX.  He wanted me to charge "his" Discover Card a mere $2000, and I get to keep $500 and send the rest to a shipper in Massachusetts.  Fortunately for me, his Discover Card was declined, and the other numbers he provided (!) did not work, either.  

This time, he was towing a Honda Accord from Mass. to our shop in Eastern Texas.  That's a strange call for someone who claims to live in Humble, TX (outside of Houston!).  Last I checked, there were several shops in Mass.!

Got a relay call from someone hearing impaired named david moore - wanted to purchase 20 dozen red roses and have his shipper pick them up.  In my store this is upwards of $2000.  I had a similar experience 5 years ago, so I asked him to fax me a copy of driver's license and his credit card before i would help him.  Got off phone, googled his tel # got this site. Never got the fax from him.  Got a second call from him - told him i knew he was scamming.  hung up.  his e-mail is david.moore2009@yahoo.com and he gave me a fax - 866-422-0581.

i also recieved a call from Peter Lawal.  Said he was from Idaho and had a Cadillac Escalade that needed brakes and it was to be shipped to my shop by next Fri.  Said he was deaf.  Gave me his email address and was going to give me a credit card to run for $3500.00.  He said to  send $2500 by Western Union to the shipper and keep $1000 for the repairs.  i hung up after checking this number online.  they kept calling back until i told them that I knew this was a scam and I had checked this number out on-line.  DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON!!!

Peter Lawal went thru a deaf interpreter from Atlanta wanted $4500.00 and I pay for having his car towed here and get to keep the rest. He said the car will be towed up next Friday. I told him to send a cashiers check and i woul take care of it. He said he was not able to get one. While on the phone with him I googled his E-mail and phone # and found this website. He hung up after I told him we do not take cards over the phone.

Same call. He went thru deaf interpreter and used the name Peter Lawal, from Clifton Park,NY  Card was accepted and I sent a bank check to a "distributor" for a 2007 Honda cr-v that needed brakes. Told me to keep $500 for repairs. The correct owner of the card processed a charge back to my account.  I am now out $3500!  He had the nerve to contact me again to process another car for $8000.

Same just happened here, name was Derek Albin instead, same deal though, run card for $3500, send him 3K, keep 500 for car repairs

same call ruth roker from savannah georgia wants to have her car towed up to mass to have it fixed. run my credit card and send 3 grand to the shipper. claimed to be hearing impaired. email address was from malden mass which is where im from, but this phone number is a buffalo number.

Got the same call - claimed to be deaf - except it was Ruth Roker with a 2005 Honda Accord - $3000 for the shipper, $500 deposit could be kept.  ruthroker@yahoo.com
