Got a call from this number threatening to put a lien on my federal income taxes. They called from a blocked number, felt uneasy about calling them back.

Thank you for the heads up. They just called me from a BLOCKED number, I believe the guy's name was Robert and he also threatened to put a lein against my federal taxes. What prompted me to look into this was the blocked number, and the threat of the lein. I will inform everybody that I know of this scam. I'm going to report them RIGHT now! Thank you again for the heads up!

I just got a call from this number, they didn't leave the name of the company. Is this a legitimit number?

These people are scammers - you must report them to the https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ file a formal complaint with all your information - who called you that they threatened you with a federal lien - they are totally illegal in their calling, and sure enough after you report them, then they cancel the phone number and move on to a different location and in about 6 months they will try again - just keep reporting them - do not call them back or contact them in anyway, and DO NOT Give out any personal information to them they are frauds!  They are rude and it is totally illegal to threaten you - if they were ligit, they would go through the county court and file a garnishment against you, but because they are frauds they can not do this!  Don't fall for the threatening calls.  Make sure that if they start calling people you are associated with, family etc. that is VERY ILLEGAL.......

I got a call from Maria Jones from this number on my answering machine, extension 516.  She said she was placing a federal tax lien against my name and SSN.  She read the last four digits of my SSN.  She did not say "This is an attempt to collect a debt . . . "  She just said that if I do not call back in 24 hours the lien would be placed.  

I called back and got her voice mail.  The name of the company was "IMG."

I have no idea what this could be about.  I have no outstanding debts that I am not currently paying.

Edward Washington called me from IMG Law Firm about Garnishment papers they had for me.  I talked to them a year ago and told them they were included in my bankruptcy. Creditor was MetaBank. WTF! are they f****ng idiots.  Next tim they call I'm taking legal action and their stupid a***s.

Left a recording....IMG? States my case is on their desk for review. Sounds like a scam to me!
