repeated call from this number, random times.  when I looked up the #, it said it was an auto repair shop in Pennsylvania.  You can't call them back though, the number won't go through.

The only way to stop the calls is to

1. File complaints with FTC - they have already been sued for this scam

2.  Tell them you KNOW THEY ARE A SCAM.

They keep calling because they think they still stand a chance

Toronto Telemarketing Firm Fined $15M For Business Directory Scam

20 Dec 2009
A Toronto firm has been fined a record $15 million in Ontario Superior Court for operating a business directory scam that targeted U.S. and Canadian businesses.

DataCom Marketing Inc. scammed more than 50,000 small- and medium-sized businesses in a telemarketing scheme that generated an estimated $158 million between 1994 and 2005.

DataCom telemarketers succeeded in the scam by using an "assumed sale" technique. They implied that the business had ordered a directory listing in the past and it had been authorized by someone in the company. Telemarketers would then use aggressive collection tactics to ensure payment. The targeted firms were usually duped out of $200 to $500.

16 Ways You Can be Phone Scammed

18 Nov 2008
When we started 800Notes.com we had no idea that telemarketing fraud comes in so many flavors. The variations include 'cramming', 'slamming', credit card scams, calls from telemarketers pretending to be IRS, sweepstakes and lotteries scams, advance fee  loan scams, phone toner scams, fat finger dialing scams, and area code phone scams.
Typically the goal is to get you to reveal personal, bank account information, or to make you do something that will result in unwanted charges on your account. Individuals and businesses are equally affected by these scams although the schemes might be different.
In this article I will outline the 16 most popular phone scams. I am sure there are more, so if you have been a victim of a phone scam, or you know of a phone scam not mentioned here, please share it with me and the readers in the comments.
Send this article to your family members, co-workers, and employees. Give it to your teenage kids and elderly parents (studies show they are the most vulnerable to the scams). As the old saying goes, "Forewarned is Forearmed".

7.    Free Listing at Yellow Pages:  This scam targets businesses. The caller says that he is from Yellow Pages and is calling to update their records. He proceeds by asking to confirm some basic information such as owner?s name, business phone number, address, and company name. Then they start billing the victim and only then the business owner realizes that it?s not a free listing and it was not Yellow Pages directory that called.

Call came in at 9:29am,1/22/2010. Caller ID showed 717-359-4800 with the name as Cookson,Jane. It was a male voice, sounded East Indian. He announced himself as calling from Business Solutions OnLineYellowPages.
This bunch say they want to update your listing on the web when in the end they want to bill you for what they have chosed to list without your permission. It is almost a ransom situation where you have to pay to have information corrected someone chose to put on their search site.
