My experience today was much like the others listed here -- phone rang, I very briefly heard something I could not understand, then they hung up.  I've gotten similar calls in the past from 717 area code, don't know if this is the same number, though.

Called my cell and left no message. Like others who've posted, I also recently applied for some job postings online. Sounds like a recruiter or survey-wrangler trying to follow up about some placement opportunities -- or pitch some openings.

This is some type of job search company.  If you had been on any job search engines, filled anything out that had your number, this is where they got it.

I'm wondering if these posts are from E-town alumn as some of these names are familiarish.  Did they seel our directory?  Hmmmm?   Call on April 23 at 3:31.  I didn't answer.  No message.

I got a few calls from this number over a couple weeks.  They never leave a message, and I don't call it back.  I've seen a few posts that this is a scammer.

Thanks for the heads up everyone. Just got a call and didn't answer. Good suggestion to report to FCC. Wonder what database they are accessing to get cell numbers??

I got a call this morning 4/19/13 at 10:23 a.m. and did not answer because I thought it was a sales call. Hopefully they get caught.

Same as most of the above. Answered, no sound, quickly disconnected.

The best thing to do is file a complaint with the FCC. The more complaints the better the chance that they will stop this guy from calling.

This company, if you can even call them that, is (by hand) seeing which cell phone numbers are active. Best case scenero, they are in bed wi creditors, worst case scenereo, they are scam artists. Their telephone jocky, CHRIS, didn't even get the name WN positions correct when I asked him what the name of his company was. The minute I pointed it out, hung up on me. Poor chris, still love ya buddy! Keep up the dirty tricks, special place in hell for those who pray on the weak. Needless to say, I will be reporting them (fat chance it will do anything though).

On My call back to the number I've got a menu from job placement company with option to unsubscribe. I drop the call as it can be collectible.

Bullies pay somebody to make phone calls through this number to their targets.

Call came in at 3:40 p.m. this afternoon. I have my phone on mute so didn't even see the call. Now I'll flag it as a spam call (this list is growing) and won't answer it. Thanks for the heads up. A word to those who are tempted to try for removal: don't bother. All you're doing is flagging that it's a valid number to call and then your number gets sold to others. Best to just ignore it or, better yet, if you get the call again, have a REALLY good police whistle nearby. Blowing out eardrums is effective ... it works well with telemarketers and kinky callers. Suggestion #2 is to hit a couple of phone keys and then announce, "operator, this is the harassing call I need for you to trace...."

Same as many of the others, the guy claimed he was from 'WN Positions' and said I had filled out an online survey about job placement.  After I told him I did no such thing he said he could still ask me a few questions to help find me a job.

I just received a call from this # at 9:30 this morning. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. When I called them back I got a message stating the company is called WN Positions and to press 1 if I wanted to speak to a rep or if I wanted my phone # removed from their list to press 9 and enter my phone #, but after reading these posts I didn't even feel comfortable doing that.

Got a call @ 1pm April 8th, no response on the other end when I answered.  I said Hello a few times, then hung up.  Tho I have gotten calls before about "jobs" and a survey that I supposedly filled out.

Called my cell phone (I only had this new number for 2 months). When I picked up after 4 rings, I heard some rustling in the background and then they hung up. I don't know if they were fishing to see if anyone is actually using this number now, or if (like others have reported) they are a scam/survey company, and they got scared off by my gruff voice.

Just got the call on my cell phone. About an online survey. I said what survey. he voice just went on. I don't give out my cell phone #!!!!  I was about job. I am retired!!!.I just hung up.
