Received a call from 717-793-4644 (caller ID - York, PA) - caller, "Tony Jones" said that he was selling subscriptions to alternate lifestyle magazines (?) and suggested that I might be interested in a new magazine called Orally Yours (!)

When  told him that I was offended by his call and that I am on the do not call list, he called me a foul name and yelled some other obsenity at me and hung up.

Why can't the telephone companys stop these calls by blocking their numbers? Oh, I know why not ... money talks!

Called at 7:30 a.m.  Did not answer.

I listed the contact name for this number on my iphone as "ignore"...Done

Calls about lowering energy bills, from Pennsylvania.  Pretty sure it's scam.  The guy stuttered and stumbled along a script for a long time and I heckled him a bit because this one of several different energy LLCs that are calling us that we do NOT want.

Rec'd call from 717-793-4644 - woman asked for Anthony Jones.  This company has called in the past with the name "Anthony Jones".  I asked who was calling - was informed Direct Energy, about saving the company money on the energy bill.  I thanked her and put the call on hold.  When the call 'rang back', I again asked who she was holding for again I was told Anthony Jones.  The call went back on hold.  After the call rang back the third time, I informed the called that there was no Anthony Jones listed in the corporate directory.  She then gave me the long winded speech about how Direct Energy can save us money.  I told her that she would have to talk to the corporate office for this information - she could leave her number and I'd pass it along.  
I guess her being on hold for 10 minutes gave someone else a break from her call...  We are the "corporate office", actually the only location with a mere 10 employees.  Wish these people would stop wasting my time!

Calls and calls and calls. Wants to talk to someone in charge of our current energy bill. That person has an offsite office, so can only take messages. These calls are very annoying, disruptive. Limited office hours and when they call during times were closed, they won't leave a message! Non-professional! Cheap telemarketing tactics! After all this, would NEVER do business with them. What makes a company think they can win over a potential customer with harrassment?

717-793-4644 - Pennsylvania.  Called 4:25 pm, 2/4/13.  Asked for my husband.  Didn't want to talk to me.  Think he knew I was no push over.  Usually I don't answer the phone if I think it is a robo call or a telemarketer, but I have a bro in Afghanistan and sometimes when he calls, it shows up something like that.  Didn't want to miss his call.  But sure didn't want to speak with a telemarketer either.  What I should have done is when he asked for my husband, I should have said, "Wait, I'll go get him....", and should have set the phone down somewhere.  I have done that before...

717-793-4644 York, Pennsylvania. Sounded like a scam marketer of whatever product is hot at the moment. Today, this caller, one of more than a dozen from the same York, PA. number over the past month or so, was trying to sell me personal products at a discount along with a plan to save money on my energy bills and telephone service. The personal items he was trying to sell were personal lubricants, sex toys and some porn magazines. The energy and telephone bill saving plans were for MCI, Verizon and any oither one I used.

Wow, what a deal he offered! I hung up.

Received a call from 717-793-4644 (caller ID identified call as a Pennsylvania call) - called said that she was working with my local energy company.  When I asked why our local energy company was calling me from Pennsylvania, she told me that she was actually in Ohio - like that explained everything, especially since I'm in Illinois?  I asked her for a number where I could call her back and she gavem e 866-324-4595, ext. 7416.  Needless to say, I'm far to busy to deal with these people!!!

Called again today.  Same message as December 18 and December 5.

Okay, folks. How much of this calling zand harrassment can we stand? This time the female voice, calling herself Samantha, began by saying she was calling to tell me about Verizon's new policies and rates for cell-phones. When I told her, nicely, that I was not interested and askedher to take my number off of the call list, she immediately called me a most foul name and told me that since she knows my phone number, she could find out my address and send a representative to my home to pursuade me to buy the Verizon services.

I wonder when a company like Verizon will take some action against these scammers. Don't they care about their reputation and how peopl like me are alienated because of these callers? Certainly the Do Not Call list is not the answer.

Caller ID: 717-793-4644, in York, Pennsylvania. The caller said she was selling a MCI phone service that would cost me only $10 a month and that I would have unlimited time and data! What a bargain she said. All I had to do was tell her my credit card number and its 3 digit security code and I would be signed up on an automatic billing plan! She said that I could keep my number or get a new one that will not be seen by anyone I call. She also told me that her company had a home security service that did not require any equipment installed in my house - it would use my telephone to monitor it. That service would be an additional $10. per month. What a bargain she said again.

I told her that I was not interested and to take me off the call list - I am on the Do Not Call -- it must not work very much. She said she would -- then guess what -- I got the call from the same caller number 4 more times today. Scammers. We could live without them, but they do make life interesting and fun if you know what I mean.

Called again today, same caller ID as on 5 December.

Said "Pennsylvania" on caller ID. Wife answered and some guy asked for me by name. Wife asked who's calling? He said "Jason Greenwald". No one there by the time I got to phone.

Caller ID reads 717-793-4644, Pennsylvania.  Not answered.
